athywhite1958 Posted March 9, 2011 Posted March 9, 2011 3-1 to the Whites, Holden, Robbo and Klasnic, don't give a toss who scores for them
tarian1979 Posted March 9, 2011 Posted March 9, 2011 (edited) Can we have a whip round on here to pay you to stay away 23 games and never won once - thats a bad omen I usually only go to liverpool and everton, have friends who support both so combine it with a day on the ale. Our record at both grounds isnt great. I was out the country for the 4 nil win at goodison and the 3v2 league cup win at anfield i was down south with work. Other aways i can remember off top of my head Derby County - 4 down at the interval Leicester - a dire nil nil at flibert st Couple of times to wigan, including one defeat in league cup Blackburn once Play off v watford, what a grim day (didnt go preston one, had exams at uni, or reading one, was on hol with parents) League cup final v liverpool Lisbon Munich - to be fair it felt like a win. Didledee Posted March 9, 2011 Posted March 9, 2011 (edited) Anyone else getting nervous thinking about this game? it's kinda the same feeling leading up to the Carling Cup final and the Sporting away game, the anticipation and knowing what a win can bring are the reasons. If we go out, I know I'll be absolutely gutted, biggest game of the season? Edited March 9, 2011 by Didledee

L/H White Posted March 10, 2011 Posted March 10, 2011 2 - 1 to them. Klasnic for us, Martins brace for them
Didledee Posted March 10, 2011 Posted March 10, 2011 (edited) only if we lose. It will seem that way, be thinking "we lost our biggest game" If we go through, which I'm sure we will[even if it takes a replay] then the Semi Final will be. It's just great to have things to look forward to rather than the boring relegation battles we've had in recent seasons. Edited March 10, 2011 by Didledee
Traf Posted March 10, 2011 Posted March 10, 2011 I've never found any of our relegation battles to be boring.
peebles Posted March 10, 2011 Posted March 10, 2011 They've got a few key players out & I wouldn't be surprised if they rest one or two aswell. That said it's never going to be easy. I going for 1-0 Brum HT, 2-1 Whites FT as I think they'll tire as the game goes on.
Guest bwfcdan Posted March 10, 2011 Posted March 10, 2011 I've never found any of our relegation battles to be boring. Indeed. I thought the relegation battles where bloody exciting!

I'll introduce you to Aunty No balls and her gang.
Leedswanderer Posted March 10, 2011 Posted March 10, 2011 Got to win this one so im going to go 1-0 to the Wanderers. I have a good feeling about this year beat Brum then play Reading when the beat City then 2-1 v Utd in final. Well that how it when I my dreams anyway.
Sy86 Posted March 10, 2011 Posted March 10, 2011 0-2 elmo and klas. 1st ever away game for me excluding play off final and a corporate at stoke. Looking forward to a different atmosphere the north stand!

Sy86 Posted March 10, 2011 Posted March 10, 2011 Yeah that's right 1st one in 25 years. Would be worse if it was 86 years!!!

Boothy Posted March 10, 2011 Posted March 10, 2011 Some OPTA stats.... Birmingham and Bolton have met three times in the FA Cup, with the Blues winning two, the last 2-1 in Round 4 in 1955. Bolton have won three and lost none of the last four matches against Birmingham. The last meeting between Bolton and Birmingham saw the Trotters come back from 0-2 down to draw 2-2 despite being down to 10 men. Birmingham have won six of their last seven FA cup matches. Bolton Wanderers have not conceded a goal in this season?s FA Cup. The Trotters have only scored a total of five goals in their last six FA Cup matches. Bolton haven?t scored more than one goal in a game in any FA Cup match against a top flight side since they scored three against Arsenal in 1994. In the 21 games against top flight opponents since that win at Highbury, Bolton have scored just 11 goals in total. Bolton have won four and lost none of their last five matches in all competitions. Ivan Klasnic has scored the winning goal in each of Bolton?s last three wins, two of them away from home in FA Cup matches.
MickyD Posted March 10, 2011 Posted March 10, 2011 Some OPTA stats.... Birmingham have won six of their last seven FA cup matches. We've lost one of our last 8 (Spurs in a replay last season) so, as a stat, all it says is they don't do draws and they went out last season by losing a match.
superjohnmcginlay Posted March 10, 2011 Posted March 10, 2011 Can we bring in Dean Holdsworth on loan if we win please

Didledee Posted March 10, 2011 Posted March 10, 2011 Relegation battles are boring IMO because if you're down the bottom then you're losing more times than not, nothing good about losing, nothing good about being near the bottom, just embarrassment and post matchday's of frustration and annoyance. Especially with the pathetic football we saw each week and the negativity surrounding the club. I don't find trying to stay up exciting, especially with all the nerves and fear of what relegation would mean, just want the season to finish ASAP and get it over with. But now it's different! I don't want this season to end. Whatever happens from now until May, it's been a cracking season, and it could become an amazing season.
Zico Posted March 10, 2011 Posted March 10, 2011 Indeed. I thought the relegation battles where bloody exciting! dunno about that post event maybe I remember that day we stayed up V Boro was proper nervous in Scotts before hand shitting miself almost
