If Houllier stays at Villa then Warnock is definitely gone and Cuellar could go as well because he won't be happy sat on the bench for another season, my Villa mates are clueless to why he isn;t playing because they rate him as their best centre back., both would walk into our 1st team IMO.

 

SWP would be a gooden but I can imagine wages might be an issue, and McEacheran on loan is another that I would like to see but then again I don't think he could play in a 2 man midfield.

 

From watching a few championship games this year (and I don't just mean the play-offs) I really rate McGugan at Forest. He's a centre mid with a great touch and good passing game, and scores a hell of a lot of goals for a midfielder, I don't think Forest would let him go cheaply though.

 

A few others are Hitzlsperger, Vaughan and Rhys Williams from Boro.

SWP is past it and will be on mega wages, not worth the hassle imo.

 

Vuckevic & Nzogbia will be too expensive for us.

 

Bellamy & Owen are crocks & Doyle is a striker who doesnt score which weve already got.

Fair point. Irwin was a quality FB and unusually, for a DMB, he wasn't universally hated.

Tend to get a lot of right footers playing LB, but hardly any left footers playing RB.

 

With Wingers though it's the opposite. it's fashionable these days to play left footers out on the right so they can cut inside, e.g robben, adam johnson, etc.
