Kyriagos looks a disaster waiting to happen when I've seen him.

The rest of the deal sounds too good to be true though.

 

I've thought the same as well, never rated him at all when I've seen him play. The deal with n'gog and cole involved sounds far too good to be true. I'd personally be over the moon with just ?12m and N'gog.

It's only a good deal if we get another centre half from somewhere

There is no way on this earth we would even consider it if we had to pay his wages, he's on c?100,000 a week, we could probably afford to pay 30/40%. I don't understand why you don't think there's anywhere to play him though, would he not be a very good replacemebt for Lee on the right wing (if we don't get SWP)?

Why is 12 million plus ngog a good deal in my eyes is it fook,Cahill is quality young and the next England Centre half , saints got 12 mill for Oxlade I cannot understand how some Bolton fans have such a low opinion of Cahill it staggers me, should not be suprised though too many miserable neg heads follow BWFC.

I would be made up if we offered him a 4 year contract double his wages and then sold him half way through his contract for his true value, even if it meant we had to shelve the deal for SWP.

Coyle said 3 or 4 weeks ago that we had someone in mind as back up if we did sell cahill. the thing that pisses me off is that if cahil was at some one like spurs and utd came calling then the bidding would start at 20 mill.

Some of the QPR guys were saying that Harry Redknapp was at Loftus Rd today. They assumed he was scouting Tarabt, but if he was there he'd have been there to watch Cahill.

The problem is the reported ?17m buy out clause in his contract, effectivly someone could come in on the last minute of the transfer window and we would be left with little or no time to get cover. If he is going to go then it would be better sooner than later as far as this transfer window is concerned.

 

I would love him to stay but to do that we would need him to extend his contract by at a year or two at least. Personally I doubt he would sign one as he is one of the best centre backs in the league, he should be playing champions league football so he can cement his place in the England squad/team for the euros. I should also imagine that there is some pressure on the powers that be not to lose our best asset for free so I am sure they would have tied him down by now if they thought he and his representatives would sign.

 

If we dont sell him then he will go for nout and we cant let that happen. That Sami Nasri is something else and he is going for ?20m due to him only having 12months left.

 

All things considered ?12m + Ngog would be a good bit of business IMO.

C'mon, Mounts. You know better then that.

The value of a player is the same as the value of your house ..... it's what someone is willing to pay at the time you want to sell. No more, no less. No point comparing what someone else got for their house down the road.

We might think Cahill is worth ?20m, but (as far as we know) no club has offered remotely near that amount even though GC has been up for sale for months & months. Plus (if true) he walks for free in 12 months, and there's no sign he wants to sign a new contract (surely BW would have offered him a new contract before it got to the last 12 months ...... wouldn't they ?!?!).

Fans judging the value of rumoured bids are taking all that into account ........ it's not about 'neg heads'.
