jules_darby
To be fair to the police, you can already see loads of tossers with cameras, trying to get pictures of the police behaving brutally to some "innocent " rioter. Everyone, including the police, knows that a few days after this all calms down, some picture will appear, & a lot of people who are all in favour of smashing rioters at the moment will swiftly change to the anti-police side when the danger is over. Aye You can see that coming a mile off unfortunately It's about a consistency of stance; when that changes, folk don't know what to do. If the police had been responsibly tough for the past few years this wouldn't have happened Change scares people, but if nothing does change this will happen again And again
Mounts Kipper
See my post earlier. One policeman pushed a guy over and he died. The Policeman is now being charged and faces a prison sentence. Would you go in cracking heads knowing what the repercussions could be? There was a big difference in that case the bloke they pushed over was not agressive and not a threat, surely the please should be able to differentiate between someone who is no threat and someone who is carrying a weapon or acting in a threatening and anti social manner. If the police had been responsibly tough for the past few years this wouldn't have happened Change scares people, but if nothing does change this will happen again And again I personally don't think there is a better time for that change to happen. There is widespread disgust at the antics of this vermin mob and the images that we have all seen. I am pretty sure that there would be less protest at heavy handedness now than in the past. This is not comparable to anything seen here before at footy or any protest. There is no need for guns, the rioters have been told that the police will be out in force so if you go out on the streets tonight in an area that is heavily policed, expect to receive a baton up your nightdress.I am sure the army and kebab shop owners would do a better job but that in itself would be damaging for normal law and order in the long term. Whatever anybody thinks of the police, and I have plenty of reason to not be a fan, they must be allowed to get on with it and reclaim these streets - as they would in any other EU countries incidentally. There will be police personnel out there tonight under lots of stress who have to make snap judgements as to what is acceptable and what isn't just as the policeman in the Tomlinson incident did. Making those decisions under pressure then having them analysed by the media weeks later, creates a defensive mentality in the minds of the police. no balls
that's what started all this according to his bird that is she said he wasn't carrying a gun and even if he was he wouldn't have used it... According to the Daily Mail (sorry), he was. Mark Duggan was carrying a blank-firing handgun converted to fire live bullets when he was killed by a single gunshot to the chest, it was revealed today. The father-of-four was armed with the pistol converted to fire live bullets when he was shot by armed police officers, it was reported. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-2024094/Mark-Duggan-carrying-converted-replica-handgun-shot-dead-single-police-bullet.html#ixzz1UXBnzVFB But the fact that one of the bullets fired by a "specialist" missed and went into a collegaue makes me think I'm right in not wanting them armed willy nilly. It?s said over here that even a well trained police officer is under that much stress in a shooting incident that he/she is only likely to hit his/her target 1 in 4 shoots. We also had something very similar happen to the Mark Duggan incident last week in Houston, the guy move to a gun in his car, the police officer warn him to stop but he kept going, police officer filled him full of holes, the police officer then spent 3 day on desk duty (which is the case in any shooting) he?s now back on the job
Guest Blixa
The Turks of Dalton have decided to police their area themselves My link Not really about the Turks, more about people living in a tight knit community wanted to protect their stuff. Be the same in Bolton if it was in the Asian areas - they tend to own businesses, shops, cars etc and want to keep them in one piece. The feral mob doing all this don't own anything - they get it off the council, with a lifestyle paid for by the council. That's the problem, if you own nowt, you don't give a shit. Two winners out of this, the police and the Tories. Police - no way will anymore cuts be floated for a long time now. Tories - because everyone lurches to the right when shit like this happens. You wouldn't want Ed Milliband running the country, be even worse than the fuckwit Cameron.

Hopefully that's just to see what his insane ramblings are on this topic. At least he can't blame Muslims, they're all at home stuffing their faces. Last time I checked you had to earn respect I do feel like I've turned into an old biddy sometimes but, exactly. Respect is a two way street and to be honest, until they start respecting themselves, never mind other people, they'll get none from anyone else. Who has bred these ferals?
