Do not see why you cannot combine the odd non league game with watching BWFC, I go to less away games now and might do the odd non league jaunt, also there are loads of midweek non league fixtures when we dont play that you can get too.

Exactly. Bolton my first love but I still make 10-12 chorley games a season as I can walk to the ground. They play in the League as well as 3 cups, so plenty of evening games to get to.

Have to say that it is good value at ?4 with a Bolton ST and if people want to give it a go then tomorrow is a good opportunity with the whites in london

Bolton played magnificently last night and beat Villa 2-0. Chorley lost at home in the FA Cup to a team from a lower division. The turncoats will be returning.

Like fuck I will Biff :pardon:

It isn't that the football is better, the whole match day craic is, overpaid tossers rolling around like girls isn't my idea of football, having a few beers with your mates watching lads TRYING is.

Bang on mate. :good:

this may be wrong but i cant help feeling that a lot of people are jumping on the chorley bandwagon because they are top of the league and obviously going places with flitcroft, jansen and now simon whaley.

to be fair, it has crossed my mind on more than one occasion to take my lad. but bolton is in my blood and id rather keep it that way.

but if he turns round and says, "dad, bolton are shit, can i support chorley" then fair enough (he get a crack round the ear mind)

We started watching Chorley begining of last season, they had a article in the BN saying come down for half price if you have a BWFC ST. EPL season hadn't started so went along for the first game of the season, a few beers and watch a match. Started going to more and more then in pre-season asked the lad, BWFC ST, Chorley FC ST or both, he said Chorley. Reason (and these are his words), "better matchday and I get to chat to the players afterwards". He's happy then I'm happy, the day my life is worked around BWFC (or any team) have long gone :D

Each to there own.

I don't like it but you have to say well done to Chorley for

1.Making the match day experience more entertaining for a child than Bolton

2.Having the cheek to nick Bolton season ticket holders by allowing them into Victory Park cheaper than their own fans.

I'm a Bolton season ticket holder and I don't get into

Victory Park cheaper than their own fans.

Last season it was half price entry at Victory Park with your BWFC season ticket, we did this a few times. Only Chester game that wasnt discounted if I remember correctly.

Not sure about this season.

It wasn't half price last season and it isn't half price this season. The admission charge for a Premier League team season ticket holder is ?4.

After watching that yesterday, ok it was in the pub, I think this is my last season as a paying spectator. It has nothing to do with the team and club I love.

Bolton Wanderers have been my life and always will play a major part. After wintessing that Norwich player fall to the ground as if he`d been decked by a proper head butt, and Walcott cheating BWFC by falling to the ground just pisses me right off. Walcott knew Wheater was the last player and only needed to drop and a guaranteed sending off would occur. He himself should have seen red just for cheating.

The FA and Prem League must now get together and address this else football as we know it will cease to be a contact sport. I dont want to buy a season ticket to see over paid primadonnas falling over when touched and players being dismissed for nothing more than a touch.

Football, especially happenings in recent weeks has just sent me over the fuckin edge, it ruined my afternoon, evening and a full day today. 1m a nasty angry piece of work who has become frightened of myself. This should not happen? there`s more to life than football, then if there is I`m going in search for it.

OK, if we are being awkward how much is it for a non Premier League Season ticket holder? ?7 or ?8.

It says match day admission is ?8 on Chorley's website.

If it's still for ?4 for Bolton season ticket holders as posted above then yep that's half price.

I think Bolton should be looking to stop this.

It's not unique to Chorley a lot of non league clubs do it especially on international weekends.

That doesn't make it right. If Bolton are losing season ticket holders to non league clubs because they are targeting them with half price tickets and then hooking them I think Bolton should be stopping it.

but if they have paid for a bolton ST and arent using it, who's losing out?

If you have bought a season ticket you would be at the bolton game,if bolton are away and you can't make it or not playing you can go to chorley, not sure where season ticket holders are being lost due to chorley surely looking closer to home would give answers why season ticket holders aren't going to the games.

C86 posted above that he and his son were Bolton season ticket holders who went to Chorley because it was half price for Bolton season ticket holders. They preferred Chorley and have now bought season tickets at Chorley but not Bolton.

That is the point I am making.Bolton have lost season ticket holders to Chorley because Chorley targeted Bolton season ticket holders

this may be a dumb question but whats the link with bolton and chorley?

TBH there are a few Bolton fans from Chorley that watch Chorley when Bolton are away or on a Sunday etc.

We just happen to stumble on Chorley.

Also ?2.30 a pint

It isn't half price technically though, it's concessions price. I.e. A student/OAP ticket is ?4, someone over 65 with a Bolton season ticket doesn't get in for half price, they get in for ?4, they don't save anything which I think is the point being made

I know one link that should have been made, and that was the snapping up of Paul Mariner before he moved to Plymouth.

Chorley have targeted nobody, they are offering a EPL ST holder who's team are playing elsewhere the chance to watch one their games for ?4.

Biff's pissed off coz consessions are ?4 and his ST does nowt to reduce his entrance fee

Before the start of last season we decided to go to different grounds when we where away, been to Macclesfield, Accy Stanley, Feetwood and Chorley. All where belting days out (especially Fleetwood, puts the reebok matchday experience to shame. The bar has 23 flatscreen TV's and 2 in the bogs, beer was good and cheap), except Accy, fooking backward place. Chorley where playing good footlball, did a few awaydasy and met other EPL exiles like us, now there's 15 of us, all ex epl with kids all the same age. 11 of us are off to Glasgow this Sat to watch Rangers, a day out, beer, a laugh and new stadium to visit.

One of our group is a UTD ST, been one for 30 years, still got his ST but has "rented" it out for the last 2 season, watches Chorley instead, why? Sick of winning things (honest), sick of sitting with day trppers, sick of stewards etc etc Loves a drink a laugh and no mither.

Still want BWFC to win every match but last season we'd be looking at the phone every 2 mins to see how we where going on, this season we just been waiting until the final scores come in...

I can see more disaffected fans from premier league clubs watching non league football, the premier league is a closed shop except for the 2-3 clubs that can win trophys the rest are just hoping to stay up, non league football you still get the day out the crack with the lads and it is value for money and the away trips are nearer home, not sure if lads like C86 wil keep it up for the long term as it might just be the change of scene and the current success of Chorley that has grabbed the interest, soon Chorley will hit a ceiling a bit like BWFC have and then where do you go from there?

You make some good points and observations Mounts.

Chorley playing well and winning is second to me, don?t get me wrong it?s good, but the day out is the main attraction. Plus my dad comes along too, he loves it, gets him out and socialising instead of being stuck in the house on his own.

Long term who knows? Has long as there?s a club house with ale and we?re not being ripped off then I?ll be happy. My main worry is my son, he wants to go and watch Wigan Warriors? I?ll have to draw the line somewhere.

On our list of matches to do are ones in Spain, Italy, Holland, Germany and Portugal.
