MickyD Posted October 7, 2011 Posted October 7, 2011 Balls to going to Blackburn for a match any weeknight. Where's the fun in that? Agreed. What a shit night we had in 1978 when that wankie worthington bloke scored and all four sides of the ground had Bolton fans.
indra Posted October 7, 2011 Posted October 7, 2011 Agreed. What a shit night we had in 1978 when that wankie worthington bloke scored and all four sides of the ground had Bolton fans. Aye a night I will never forget... Also remember the game after at home to Fulham being a damp squid of a match.Still back in the big time
MickyD Posted October 7, 2011 Posted October 7, 2011 You know, one of the squid things. dampness is what comes with being a sea creature!
marple whites Posted October 7, 2011 Posted October 7, 2011 The saturday before Christmas is always one of the poorer attended weekends of the season. A few days before Christmas and on tv will not help at all. However, I will be attending !!
Guest bwfcdan Posted October 7, 2011 Posted October 7, 2011 I always thought the expression was damp squib?
Guest Biff Posted October 8, 2011 Posted October 8, 2011 Indeed it is; a squib being a type of firework. Is it not a little pigeon that has been caught in the rain.
Adlington Trotter Posted October 8, 2011 Posted October 8, 2011 I thought Sky only announced fixtures in two lots, one before new year and one afterwards? It really pisses me off how much they mess around with fixtures, particularly ones when you have to travel down to London. A lot of people know with London aways in order to get the cheaper train tickets you need to book a good 2-3 months in advance. But then as soon as you do you can guarantee Sky will shift the game to a Sunday and screw you over. On the topic of Blackburn, anyone going might want to reconsider where they drink. Apparently the already packed Fernhurst has now started charging to get in.

birch-chorley Posted October 8, 2011 Posted October 8, 2011 I am sure I can remember being shaken down for change by the door lads there in the past, not every time mind. With it being Christmas you can guarantee the door staff will have santa hats on and a big steel bucket.
keithbwfc Posted October 8, 2011 Posted October 8, 2011 i am in as i will have passed my driving test by then

Should be ok for spurs and fulham now though, just check the euro fixtures.
