Sorry, but you're wrong. Petrov did absolutely nothing wrong in the first 45 and looked our most dangerous player, AND he was tracking back as well. I was amazed when i saw his number go up after half-time.

 

As far as Eagles is concerned, he's not a world-beater and we all know this. The lad had a bad game, a VERY bad game, but I don't think making him a scapegoat for our loss is right either. The loss today was simply down to changing a formation that was working perfectly fine, simply due to a player being 5 minutes late (or so it seems).

 

It wouldn't surprise me if Coyle went into the dressing room and told Muamba the loss was all his fault and look what happens if you don't toe the line...

Spot on - removing Coyle is playing our last card - it comes at a massive financial cost , but the alternative is almost certain relegation and no certainty of ever coming back up. Even if ED/PG are "happy" for us to go down , are they really going to be confident that Coyle is the man to lead us back up. Surely they can see via his signings and his tactical naivety he is not.

 

A new manager brought in before 10th March when we play Queens Park Rangers when we have our next realistic chance of picking up points may be able to motivate and reinvigorate a group of players that given the right direction and organisation are capable ( just ) of getting us the 18 or so points necessary to keep us up.Five out of our six remaining home games are going to be scrappy affairs very much on the lines of todays Wigan game ( QPR , Fulham , Swansea , West Brom and Blackburn ) and motivation and organisation will be key.

 

Is the reason Coyle has survived this long because we the crowd have sat back and vented little anger towards him personally ,despite his track record being worse than that of Gary Megson.

 

Have we not now reached the point where at our next 3 games at Millwall at Chelsea and Man City , those of us that go and support our team , should show and leave ED/ PG in no doubt that we want Coyle replaced ?

1.We don't have a Premier League quality striker.Klasnic is the only good finisher but his body isn't up to the physical demands of the league.

 

2.We don't have a Premier League quality attacking midfield player who hasn't been injured all season....apart from Petrov but he only plays when he feels like it.

 

Wolves, QPR and Blackburn all have better attacking players.There is only Wigan with equally low quality attacking options and they are below us and will go down.

right enough is enough....i've avoided posting on here for some time now and for that i apologise but i'm fcuking livid....that was the most inept performance i've seen this season and we've seen a few. there's only one man to blame and thats coyle. for him to come out with the shite he did yesterday about wheater being at fault is utter crap...everyone in the ground saw that goal coming for about 20 mins beforehand apart from him...utter clueless...4-4-2 doesnt work...the system only works at the moment with muamba in the side.....kevin davies (for all he's done for the club) has lost it....its that fcuking simple!!!!!!

I have always been behind Coyle but their is nobody else to blame for yesterday than him. Should have stuck with 4-5-1. Even after 30 minutes he should have realised that we ahere getting slaughtered on possesion and reverted to 4-5-1.

The first thing coyle did yesterday by selecting that team was to de-motivate the home support and create a negative atmosphere within the home section, when i heard the team news at 2.30 my heart sank probably along with 20,000 others, i knew from that moment we would not win that game with that formation, and was instantly on a downer and nervous, again probably along with the rest, straight away that translates through to the players and contributes to the atmosphere, how different it could of been if he would of started with ream, myachi, and sordell, straight away the atmosphere would of been one of anticipation in seeing our new signings excitement at the thought of seeing some pace up front and on the flanks, again this atmosphere would translate to the players not exactley rocket fuckin science owen!!. mistake number 2 taking the armband off nrc another diabolical decision from the wise one, nrc is a born leader and has done a sterling job in recent weeks to have it thrown back in his face nice one owen!!. if we as fans feel demoralised when we see the team sheet how the fuck do the players feel when our best players in recent weeks are either left out the team or have the captaincy taken from them? i'd guess they where looking round that dressing room thinking wtf is going on here and totally in shock, the same as us fans!! mr coyle you keep telling us that ream, myachi, sordell are the type of players that get people out of their seats and who people love to watch, well hey fuckin ho they need to be on the pitch not sat on the bench you complete fuckwit!! understand sordell missed the match with a blood shot eye? The reality is that our January games showed that when our team is set up in a system that suited the players in our squad, we are good enough to survive.

The 4-5-1 system with Muamba, -gave us an extra layer of protction to our defence

- stopped the opposition from playing & walking all over us in midfield,

-won the ball back for us,

-allowed M Davies to concentrate on playing an effective attacking role,

-created far more chances for us,

& from that point ,our results & performances improved & we moved out of the relegation places.........until our idiot manager decided to revert to the disastrous 4-4-2 tactics that had taken us to a relegation position in the first place & we've promptly returned to a relegation position.

 

In that he seems incapable of learning from his mistakes, or even learning from the successes of January, the manager is clearly our biggest problem.

Spoke to an experienced football guy this morning. He said he can't understand why everyone sees Muamba as the answer. I see where he's coming from, and I felt that way myself last summer. But we are where we are, and we have the squad that we have.

 

451 is the only system that has worked reasonably for us this season, has made us look more organised, has enabled us to play some football on the ground - even if we rode our luck at times. Fot all his faults, Muamba is the only player we have to fit into that midfield 3 with NRC and MD.

 

442 (with KD up front) has consistently failed to produce results this season, has made us look shambolic, and has reverted us to punts upfield in the vain hope that KD and his partner can get the ball. The midfield has been consistently overrun.

 

If we're trying to survive, than we're talking about scrapping and scrapiing points wherever we can however we can. It's pretty obvious ....... isn't it ???

 

And with the sh*te we've produce this season with 442 'kick & rush & concede for fun', how the f*ck does OC have a reputation for turning out footballing sides !

instead of an isolated front two and an exposed pair of centre backs, it allows muamba to destroy and protect while davies is allowed to threaten and create

phil gartisde spent the whole of the last 20 minutes of the game in the area facing scotts behind the chairmans suite.
