frank_spencer Posted March 27, 2012 Posted March 27, 2012 The guy is a cunt but sending him to jail is a bit ott. Fine him, get him doing community service but jail for being a twat on Twitter? A bit much. Quote
Guest Frandsen08 Posted March 27, 2012 Posted March 27, 2012 The guy is a cunt but sending him to jail is a bit ott. Fine him, get him doing community service but jail for being a twat on Twitter? A bit much. seems to me like they've made an example of him, but i was surprised at the sentence. Quote
DazBob Posted March 27, 2012 Posted March 27, 2012 I thought the same. Aren't we always hearing about our prisons being full? Yes, this lad's a fuckwit who's shot his mouth of to get a bit of attention, simply because it's now so easy now to get attention thanks to Twitter. He's rightly been named and shamed and I've little doubt he's already regretting already what he's done far more than the majority of people who commit 'crimes' do.. As Frank has said above, he should be made to do community service. I'd suggest in a place where whites are the minority and where the police turn a blind eye to anyone gone-off fruit at him. Quote
derek smalls Posted March 27, 2012 Posted March 27, 2012 hmmm. not defending him at all but he said he was pissed and just blurted (typed) something out and then got involved in a slagging match with people who replied. whilst its thoroughly unpleasant it does seem a tad excessive. Truth is that people are indifferent to serious injury/death unless they are directly involved. How many people watched Sadam Hussein being hung or Ken Bigley having his bonce chopped off? just type `escapes jail` into google and see all the people who got off for crazy things. exhibit A http://www.dailyrecord.co.uk/news/scottish-news/2012/03/09/falkirk-mp-eric-joyce-escapes-jail-sentence-after-admitting-house-of-commons-assault-86908-23781259/ Quote
Zico Posted March 27, 2012 Posted March 27, 2012 The guy is a cunt but sending him to jail is a bit ott. Fine him, get him doing community service but jail for being a twat on Twitter? A bit much. aye, seems they've made an example of him but there's plenty folk on twitter who think they can do/say what they want without consequence this says they can't though there's folk who think they can say/do what they want on a footy pitch who don't get sent to prison can of worms and no mistake Quote
Sweep Posted March 27, 2012 Posted March 27, 2012 He'll be bummed from one side of the prison to the other - he may have to be kept segregated for his own safety - I hope he's not though For me, him being sent down is a bit of a joke, a few hundred hours of community service would have sufficed in reality. It will though show folk that the internet isn't just for posting stuff on with the misguided belief that it doesn't matter. Although folk will still no doubt continue to post all manner of shite not realising their could well be consequences. Quote

frank_spencer Posted March 28, 2012 Posted March 28, 2012 Community service and maybe a fine at most Muslims burn poppies and jeer our heroes and nothing done at all; burglars get let off. Criminal justice system in this country is a joke All of them? Surely the fact they're Muslim is irrelevant over the fact they're cunts. Highlighting the fact that Choudry and his ilk are Muslim only serves to fuel their goal of stirring up hatred. The group that organised the poppy burning is now a crime to be associated with. Quote
