Fairly certain no one is arsed, but we're still buzzing so I'm telling you all anyway.  We got incredibly lucky, thankfully! Weather was spot on and it properly set the tone for a perfect day, co

Thinly veiled just got back from Santorini and I thought that it was hot there. Fucking hell its hotter here in Manc. Got a rattler from Manc Airport to Piccadilly. That was grim. How anyone can do that at rush hour every day is beyond me but when it’s this hot....

Just remember folks, alcohol is a diuretic, so will dehydrate you.

Boooo

I’d say the same here. I’m sweating like a blind lesbian in a fish finger factory.

Thought about referencing our players when I posted that, but we don't have enough to compare!

Temperature record went yesterday apparently. By 0.2 degrees.

So nearly a record but not quite as implied by "Temperature record" above.

PS The arctic is on fire - now that's news!

Saying hottest day ever recorded here. Still needs verification, and may possibly be trumped if a later temp measurement comes to light.

This came up on my phones news feed:

The Met Office announced today that it was checking a provisional figure recorded at Cambridge University Botanic Garden on Thursday but that it would require 'quality control and analysis' over the next few days.

If validated it will become the highest temperature officially recorded in the UK, outstripping the 101.3F (38.5C) seen in Faversham, Kent, in August 2003.

Aye, weather girl earlier was explaining it.

Wonder how long it will last?

I'm going for approximately 1 year.

I lived in Faversham at the time - I can confirm it was bloody hot!

We had just moved down to Bracknell into a tiny 1st floor flat that summer. It was a nightmare as the windows only had small openings but there was no breeze anyway.  Thursday was odd as it was really hot but it had a warm breeze too.

Anyway,  back to a fucking wet weekend...

Still raining

Lovely afternoon, God certainly has a sense of humour

Thunder and hail now after a lovely morning
