Fairly certain no one is arsed, but we're still buzzing so I'm telling you all anyway.  We got incredibly lucky, thankfully! Weather was spot on and it properly set the tone for a perfect day, co

Went again today. Christ they must have spent millions on those improvements. Brilliant now. Just that one short section not completed but like you say easy enough to divert. First time in my life I’ve ever seen the tide fully out at Fleetwood

Massive mistake today though. Did Fleetwood to Pleasure Beach and back. Fuck me that was a hard 15 miles back into a stiff North Westerly. Covered in salt and sand at the end

Make sure you don't get stranded on Knott End when the tide goes out, I missed my evening meal once in B/pool in some tatty guest house.:)

What's the average age in Knott End - must be over 70?

Surely one of the most interbred place in England. One road in, one road out and that up until a few years ago was a toll bridge. No motorway or train lines just ferry to fleetwood.

Aye they’ve done a really good job of it to be honest. They’re working hard keeping the beach and water clean with teamsters volunteers on it every day. There’s a dog ban on certain parts now through the summer.

Harsh on responsible dog owners but only takes one dirty bastard to spoil it for everyone else.

You've clearly never been to Walney Island, Barrow.

Isn't that a more nature type place?

Never been, but didn't realise it was full of gippers.

There is a nature reserve and oyster farm at the south of the island, but there's a village and two residential caravan parks....

It’s bloody marvellous. Currently sat in my garden drinking iced water before bed.

Proper red sky out west. Bet it’s ace on the front. Was like a mill pond when I drove by before.

I’m in Edinburgh. Well, Livingston.

The locals look utterly helpless. They don’t know what to do.

I thought you were of their ilk?

Gonna be a bastard to sleep but there is a decent breeze so maybe not too bad. Thursday looks like a nightmare though, might kip in the garden bollock naked.

Grey.

Everything’s grey.

The houses, the sky, the people.

Except for your missus of course. 😁

We've just come out of the best light-show storm I've seen in this country. It was akin to the many Mediterranean ones I've seen. I've been up watching for last few hours.

some ace vids all over twatter

That was one crazy storm last night, thunder as loud as I've ever heard and almost constant lightning strikes for about half an hour till I finally got back to sleep.

Hasn't cleared the air though, it's like walking through soup this morning

loudest i've heard that

thought a bomb had gone off

FFS, you should be listening for that fucking fire alarm!!!!

that storm woke me up last night it was that loud. The dog was cacking himself. I stayed up and watched for about an hour. In that time, we had hardly any rain here, just loads of lighting and thunder, it was weird

It was awesome, and a bit scary in a primeval way.

The 'biggest' thunder I reckon I've ever heard. Not necessarily the loudest, as I don't think we had any lightning particularly close, but even as it approached from the south, the sound from the distance filled the entire sky. Like a bombardment from nature's air force getting ever closer.

The lightning was incredibly bright too, light some bugger lighting magnesium strips in the bedroom.

Not great, I barely slept either- too hot.

One thing you can look forward to, mine has slept through the lot of it last night- one advantage of them reaching their teens.
