Fairly certain no one is arsed, but we're still buzzing so I'm telling you all anyway.  We got incredibly lucky, thankfully! Weather was spot on and it properly set the tone for a perfect day, co

Soft lads. Never heard of a coat? :)

Pleasant high cloud and sunshine for me. Lovely day for a mooch about in the sticks.

Bollocks to 30°C and too hot to do anything.

Prefer flip flops, shorts, tee shirts and a nice warm swimming pool and bones being warm, having to wear a coat ain’t a holiday for me.

Sounds good, but boring after a while.

No issue with a coat and hiking boots on a rainy day exploring somewhere new. Keeps the hordes in too.

Each to their own, plenty to do, snorkelling, golf, walking, boat trips, bit of Padel tennis and plenty chilling out time, weather has big impact these days grey and dreary just messes with my mood.

Spend my life with a big coat on in the rain. Fuck that for a holiday.

Mrs was after going to Newquay next month. 2 days spent on British motorways? Nah.

We went to Cornwall last year, I smashed the drive out in the evening with nobody on the road, she flew in Manchester to Newquay return for £50

My daughter and grandkids travelled to Edinburgh today for 5 days (they go every year to friends), they absolutely love the place, she phoned me earlier t o say she arrived safely and everything looked 'as normal'

so, if im reet, if they live in  manc wigan like you they are breaking the rules

Daughter is picking up somebody from east lancs and going to a house in st helens today

Cos the rules are stupid, is her reasoning...they were planning to do pubs in manc. She says this is safer

I think it probably is

Precisely, it’s like some Brits like to suffer while on holiday.

No rules broken.

”I live in the area. Can I leave the area to go on holiday?

You should not travel outside of this area to meet people in their homes or gardens. You can still go on holiday, but you should only do this with people you live with (or have formed a support bubble with).”

Firstly, my issues not with athys family, good luck to em, but we are saying my daughter could go to st helens for 2 nights on holiday but not one night supping?

When does visiting family and friends become a holiday?

It depends on who your daughter would be going away with. Athy’s daughter and grandkids are presumably from the same household so no problem, whereas in your daughter’s case she’d only be able to go away with someone from her household (or support bubble).

30°C or more, too hot to do anything- that's suffering!

Just done a great walk; steep climb at first and eventually reached a secluded Loch in the middle of nowhere. Absolute solitude up there. Only sounds were a screeching bird of prey, and the wind through the trees and the grasses.

Dogs and the rest of family scuttled up to a cairn a couple of minutes up a mound.

Bliss for a short while.

By god its hot.

Just got back from a week on the Kent coast, looks like I've spent a week in Italy,. Everyday another bay - have to say was really pleasantly surprised by Ramsgate. Lovely beach, not too crowded and the sea was fab. But other places such as Joss Bay and Viking Bay were great. For swimming, I'd give Deal a swerve as the current is very strong - but the town is lovely. As was Sandwich where we stayed.

A much needed break, and an unexpected beach holiday.

Currently working on a presentation for a second interview tomorrow, so the heat can do one for the moment.

A very pleasant breeze less 23 in leafy Cheshire.
Sat with a very large G&T watching our chickens scratch around.
