Hats off to the council for organising the removal of a fallen tree from CNR overnight.

And to the folks who did it in such horrible weather.

I wish Electricity North West were as efficient. Currently been without power at home since 2.30am and their website claims that they are still preparing to send a team out with no estimate as to when power will be restored

To be fair, depending upon the nature of the fault, it can be a far more complicated procedure than cutting up a fallen tree. Which in itself is not necessarily a simple task.

I remember the f-i-l during his standby periods working for the leccy board, and the difficulty for him managing incidents like this.

Lightning strikes the lot.

Often many hoops to jump through with respect to safety etc.

Turns out the report was about the driver of a German car accidentally using his indicator when turning right from Cricketers Way to Leigh Road. He was stopped near Daisy Hill Station and has apologised for causing panic and confusion.

Good job they put that pic on, in case people didn't unsertand the word police.

Mind you not sure they'd have two traffic pursuit cars on blue lights looking for a flasher.

Took me 3 hours to get to Doncaster this morning due to last night's weather

Bad here last night too.

Snow and wind.

Woke up to a stiff 4 inches (first time for ages 😉 ) and the loss of 3 fence panels.

Bit nippy isn't it?
