Fairly certain no one is arsed, but we're still buzzing so I'm telling you all anyway.  We got incredibly lucky, thankfully! Weather was spot on and it properly set the tone for a perfect day, co

Oh sorry, did people not set shit on fire 5/10 or 20 years ago? Are things worse nowadays?

i get perfectly what you’ve been trying to say, always have.

Anyway, you didn’t answer the question. Why do you think wildfires are much more severe and causing more damage than they used to?

Oh shit I forgot about that, yes let’s let them crack on as they did it years ago.

And yes I did when spider asked me, like I said before it helps not to jump in half way through.

So we can agree then that if it wasn’t for this arsonist we wouldn’t be having this conversation. I knew we would get there eventually .

We don’t agree no 😂The arsonists werent responsible for all the fires and they wouldn’t have even been as big a problem if not for the climate crisis.

Here’s what the World Weather Attribution think. But I’m sure you know better

Without human-induced climate change, the events this month would have been "extremely rare", according to a study by World Weather Attribution, a global team of scientists that examines the role played by climate change in extreme weather.”

So yes, we’d have still been talking about wildfires in Europe you muppet 😂

Can I ask again though. Because you keep ignoring the question. Why do you think the wildfires are more severe?

For all what fires?

No we are talking about the links that spider specifically posted.

I’ve not ignored it, as I said 5 mins ago I answered it when spider asked but you jumped in later.

Fuck me you’re a simpleton.

Is there not a dating site you can go on you dull Cunt, surely someone sad fucker will give you a try.

“Someone sad fucker” 🤔😆

The insults are out in full force. Not surprised after the day you’ve fuckin had on here. You’ve made an absolute tit of yourself. Only made better when you start calling everyone else m0ngs and giving out clown badges.

The wildfires. They’ve been happening all across the Med, including North Africa, for different reasons.

i missed it sorry, was out. Can I not ask again?

Why do you think the wildfires are much more severe than they used to be?

No one has been called a idiot and without sounding like a child you will see it’s you throwing the insults about.

I’ve not looked into the other fires just the ones spider posted about. That’s what I’m commenting on. Please try your best to keep up.

You can ask as much as you like, I’ve answered once, read the thread then you won’t have to ask again.

Did anyone watch Country file on Sunday? Now was a great hour about starting fires, how it's got worse and now how rangers are building break paths.

Anyway, been a pleasure to read this most odd thread. No idea why some folk engage with RW when he's on one.

Scientists at The World Meteorological Organisation & The World Weather Attribution don’t mention anything about a rise in arsonists.

Funny that. Must be because they did their study in a rush?

Apparently these intense wildfires are a once in 250 years kind of event. But are now happening every year due to global warming. So fires on these Greek islands didn’t tend to take off like they have done, even in mid July 🤨

They say it’s got everything to do with temperature and the land being much drier than usual, which makes it more flammable. So the fires burn for longer and travel further than they usual would.

Absolute nonsense 🤡

Headline news across a fair few media sources just in. Really scary stuff, it's hard for scientists to predict the exact time, but this was more predicted for the end of the century if emissions didn't go down. That they're thinking it could begin in two years time is bonkers, we're fucked if the Gulf Stream goes.

Can’t read the replies as it says I need to log in. To be fair, the title did say “could” and they said scientists were divided about when.

This is what the guy (prof of climate physics) who run the report said, from CNN.

They found “early warning signals” of critical changes in the AMOC, which led them to predict “with high confidence” that it could shut down or collapse as early as 2025 and no later than 2095. The likeliest point of collapse is somewhere between 2039 and 2070, Ditlevsen said.

“It’s really scary,” he told CNN. “This is not something you would lightly put into papers,” he said, adding, “we’re very confident that this is a robust result.”

The report calls for fast and effective measures to cut planet-heating pollution to zero, to reduce global temperatures and slow melting in the Arctic.

That's the problem with the Guardian article. The AMOC is nowhere near as important as the Gulf Stream. Basically, his analogy is if the Gulf Stream was a Motorway, the AMOC is a tiny side street.

This is a more accurate article, although they still incorrectly state that the AMOC is part of the Gulf Stream:

Well done, 3 wrong links in one post. That’s surely some kind of WW record. At least you’re consistent.

👍

aye that’s the same one I posted. Thanks for the info. Probably something that happens a lot when media sources report scientific studies?

What does it mean though, should we be less worried?

What the fck are you talking about? 😂 every media source was reporting it as the Gulf Stream.

I don’t think the Britain First Twitter bum boy should be giving out lectures on sources no?

Bit surprising to see you back to be honest, after yesterday’s antics. 🤣

So it is! 🤦‍♂️

No, it's still horrific. Just not quite as horrific as the prospect of the Gulf Stream collapsing...

keep digging 😂😂 you’re scared of something that isn’t going to happen. Imagine being that person.

I remember when the news used to say Terrorist alerts were at their highest, then nothing would happen. Apart from 7/7. And Lee Rigby. And London Bridge.

Warnings are meaningless.

And the denial antics continue. That you took ‘it’s not going to happen’ from all that is brilliant 😂

I’m glad Cheese shared the updated info, happy to have the discussion with him. And then you waltz along clutching at straws making shit up. You’d argue with a brick fucking wall if we weren’t here.

See above 👆 Scientists still believe it’s “really scary” and we need to drastically cut emissions. Or are they wrong now as well?

Did you know that wildfires release C02? Which in turn warms the oceans, melts the ice and causes changes in ocean currents. Now would be a good time to tell the scientists behind this AMOC report all about your grand ideas to rein in all the arsonists and disposable BBQs. Because for some reason it’s missing in their conclusions about rapidly reducing emissions…

You’ve still not read cheeses link have you. Probably best off doing so if you want to carry on.

Yes dear. I did. It’s the AMOC , not the Gulf Stream. Every media source out there was, and many still are, reporting it as the Gulf Stream. I’m glad Cheese updated me about the reporting error. I wasn’t really looking for a row, more a discussion. But I’m happy for you that you’re getting such a hard on from all this. it’s also quite funny watching you try to but in on something you don’t have a fkn clue about 😂

here’s some more links. Looks like the AMOC does contribute to the Gulf Stream; that the warnings and consequences are still pretty severe; and that and the original IPCC prediction was off.

Should I not be worried anymore then?  Or can I be at least a little bit concerned?

Like I said you was scared of something that ain’t happening. Probably best to ignore the guardian and Mail hey. If you carry on being scared give me a bell. I’ll come and give you a cuddle.

As for BF, I’ve not a clue what you’re on about 🤷🏻‍♂️

Ahhhhh so there’s nothing to be worried about then ? that’s what you’ve taken from all of this 😂 The scientists should all calm down, it’s all bollocks. Just because there was media confusion between the Gulf Stream and the AMOC.

you’ve gone to a lot of effort again today to make yourself look like a muppet ❤️
I see it’s now changed to 2 out of the 3 links then… 😂

Appreciate the offer of someone to talk to, that’s kind. Think I’ll stick to family & friends though. You’ve a habit of taking the piss out of peoples mental health whenever your tired & irritable after a night shift.

It’s a shame some posters now won’t reach out on here when they’re low because of the antics of an ex military hard man.

Hang on, some things don't change. Tug out the accusations etc when an argument isn't going so well.

Fuck sake.

Everything's fine.

It's raining here again.

Oh and here come the insults, followed by a take on MH….Please #bekind

let’s face it you was scared about the Gulf Stream collapsing “we’re fucked if it goes” but it’s going nowhere. You got carried away as per.

Let’s hope you don’t teach kids stuff that you read in the Mail hey! 😉
