DazBob Posted April 10, 2012 Posted April 10, 2012 I once witnessed DazBobParr eat one of them microwave burger things from Rustlers.......awful looking thing, Are you sure? When was this? The ultimate 'cheap tea' has to be cheese and beans on toast (with lashings of brown sauce). Quote
Guest Frandsen08 Posted April 10, 2012 Posted April 10, 2012 back in my first working days, i would come in work still pissed from the night before a pot noodle would do wonders in the afternoon. Quote

You had been playing cricket on a Wednesday night and pitched up at Mums with one of them in your hands. Must have been about 5 years ago, you sat there on her PC munching away on said cardboard burger, complaining it wasn't very nice. I remember as I was so disgusted.........and mother was horrified as you would imagine Quote
Sweep Posted April 10, 2012 Posted April 10, 2012 back in my first working days, i would come in work still pissed from the night before a pot noodle would do wonders in the afternoon. Just reminded me, I once thought it would be a good idea, when pissed to make a pot noodle, and then strain all the juice out using a sieve. I then placed the semi dry noodles into a couple of pitta breads and covered in lashings of tomatoe sauce. I can't remember if it tasted nice, so I can't recommend it, I do know I made a mess of the kitchen though Quote
frank_spencer Posted April 10, 2012 Posted April 10, 2012 (edited) Findus 3 cheese crispy pancakes. Rice and baked beans. Pasta and cream of tomato soup covered in a crap load of grated cheese. Edited April 10, 2012 by frank_spencer Quote

Alf Hartigan Posted April 10, 2012 Posted April 10, 2012 They do cheesey chips and curry at that chippy opposite Ewood Park, one of our lot actually liked 'em last time. I made do with a chip barm. Quote
Sweep Posted April 10, 2012 Posted April 10, 2012 I've seen plenty of places that sell "cheese on chips" or as they alternatively known, "cheesy chips". They may well be called "Cheesy Chips" as opposed to "Cheese on Chips" , I've never looked at the menu. Eitherway it doesn't sound great to me Quote
mickbrown Posted April 10, 2012 Posted April 10, 2012 I once had nowt in the cupboards and ended up having mushy peas on toast for my tea. Didn't really work if I'm honest. Quote

Carlos Posted April 10, 2012 Posted April 10, 2012 Cabbage and potato boiled, onion fried, mash it up and fry it again. WInter warmer, cost about 30p for a massive pile. Quote

Isn't that sort of bubble and squeak? I had an uncle who would fry up whatever was left over from the day/night before for breakfast/brunch/lunch. It usually looked odd, but always tasted nice. He was from Wigan though. Quote
SatanGreavsie Posted April 10, 2012 Posted April 10, 2012 I think "how fast can you eat a regular pot noodle (any flavour)" should be an Olympic sport. Fucked it up as it took me 3 minutes and a cunt at work did it in 28 seconds. But I'm working on it (current best time 45s). Quote
Carlos Posted April 10, 2012 Posted April 10, 2012 Isn't that sort of bubble and squeak? I guess so, minus the sprouts. Quote

I love sat in front of CSI / The Wire etc with a pile of grub like this. I would add ketchup to it ! Might make it tonight! Quote
