Pablo Posted June 27, 2012 Posted June 27, 2012 Well, it's getting close now. This massive weekend deserves its own thread. See this review from the other night, looks like the final set list is now becoming clear. http://louderthanwar.com/stone-roses-lyon-live-review/ Anyone in any doubt about how good this band are, they played a song called 'Dont stop', which is a backwards recorded song.....they played this live the other night, with backward lyrics!! Superb band, and I can not wait for friday. LGW Quote

Smiley Posted June 27, 2012 Posted June 27, 2012 Can't wait! Dont stop live sounds immense, hope it's played. Heard it live in Amsterdam and it was very good.... surprising as its always been a track I'd skip given half the chance. Quote
Crawley Posted June 27, 2012 Posted June 27, 2012 Getting quiet excited now, but before then I've got to get the 11am from Euston to Manchester on Saturday with a 2 year old and a 5 year old. It's not going to be easy. There are loads going from work so I suspect this might be the southern Stone Roses express. The only thing that's ruining my excitement is the rubbish support acts. Professor Green? Doctorate in shit. Also, where's best to park? Getting a lift in. Quote
no balls Posted June 27, 2012 Posted June 27, 2012 Pabbers, is that justice for the murderers band not on in support on the night you're going? Quote
Spider Posted June 27, 2012 Posted June 27, 2012 So far this month I have seen Chris Cornell & Pearl Jam Saturday will be very different and I'm rather giddy now. Looking forward to the wailers but the rest of the support acts are a bit of a let down. Quote
Crawley Posted June 27, 2012 Posted June 27, 2012 Chris Cornell, Pearl Jam and now the Roses. Did you stop buying music in 1993? Quote

Crawley Posted June 27, 2012 Posted June 27, 2012 I like Pearl Jam and Superunknown is still a great album but there are still some great new bands/singers knocking about. Really into Metric at the moment. Quote
Mike Hunt Posted June 27, 2012 Posted June 27, 2012 Dunno where in bolton you live but I reckon tram to bury might be an option. I'm hoping trams to manc run all night! Heaton Park tram station is closed from 10pm on concert nights, fans have to go to Bowker Vale Quote

Hope you don't get as spasticated as you did at the Ian Brown gig on Platt Fields! Its a marathon not a sprint! My mate James is coming as well. Brixton has a couple of spares for Sunday if anyone is interested. Quote
