I have been there many a times in my 30's & 40's.

 

Business trips, trade fairs or conferences were an excuse to sample the delights of whatever continental town or city we were in, followed by propping up the bar til 2-3am drinking schnapps, vodka et al and putting to world to rights.

 

I used to shake in the taxi on the way to the airport or exhibition with cold sweats!

 

The Brussels transfer used to be a nightmare too. Considering it was the heart of the EU there were more passport checks and queuing than anywhere in communist China.

 

Get 3-4 litres of water down you in the next 2 hours!
