Wigan Athletic are tin pot. Always have been, always will be. They have a good honest chairman and a very good manager who have amazing turd polishing skills. However, a turd they remain and one day it will be flushed.

I detest Wigan for their jealousy and hatred against us; but saying that they have sold more tickets than I ever expected them to do at about 21000.

 

If we make it to a play off final this year then how many will we sell following the knightmare Stoke semi final - I would hope that we would muster at least 25000 but you never know

Albeit currently a "shit" club with a better team, better manager, better chairman and a better average gate than us.This all stems from Wigan having a better chairman because 10 years ago we were averaging 18,000 a home game more than Wigan but somehow Gartside has screwed that massive advantage up and that wily old fox Whelan has overtaken us as a club in many areas.for example better team, better manager and better gate.

I agree. As one of their fans said on the radio the other day.... they were getting crowds of 3,000 not that long ago. Their fan base is only 12K season ticket holders and half of them are U16.

 

Folk will look at this and think they can beat Millwall and get to the final... so opting to hang on for the final.

 

Its not what most would do, but its hard to comment as I don't live on a tight budget.
