COYW Posted September 21, 2013 Posted September 21, 2013 Are we bollocks top 4 in terms of spending. Indeed, you can't even know without have every single wage, bonus, transfer fee etc. from every club to hand, which no one has. We're top four in terms of transfer fees. In terms of net spend, we're even higher, because both QPR and Wigan have recouped more than they've spent. I wouldn't think we're far off the top six in terms of wage bill. We were top three in that category last season. Quote
MACCA Posted September 21, 2013 Posted September 21, 2013 Seriously think he should go. I think a good few of the players should be dropped in favour of some young lads and Jimmy Phillips to take over. There is no expectation at the minute and we should look to the future because the present isnt up to it. The season is a write off Quote
Spider Posted September 21, 2013 Posted September 21, 2013 I've yet to see any of the naysayers suggest a replacement. Quote
Jeebster Posted September 21, 2013 Posted September 21, 2013 I've yet to see any of the naysayers suggest a replacement. Tony Pulis - someone with experience who can organise & manage a football team, not an apprentice learning how to become a manager Quote
snowball Posted September 21, 2013 Posted September 21, 2013 I've yet to see any of the naysayers suggest a replacement. That's why I am sticking, for now. Some of the suggestions frighten me. I.e. Warnock Quote
MACCA Posted September 21, 2013 Posted September 21, 2013 He's also wanted to sign a number of others but lack of funds have stopped him, Ramage and Kightly for example.[/qjuote] Going for people with hours left in the window doesn't count pal. Coyle hit the Iceberg freedman has sunk the lifeboats! Its all gone to pot. Still love the club though so dont get me wrong on that one! Quote
captainmed Posted September 21, 2013 Posted September 21, 2013 Tony Pulis - someone with experience who can organise & manage a football team, not an apprentice learning how to become a manager My son said same. Good shout. Quote
gja69 Posted September 21, 2013 Posted September 21, 2013 Go now, players obviously don't want to play for you Quote
glossopWANDERER Posted September 21, 2013 Posted September 21, 2013 No signs that he has the knowledge to turn this around. These players have it within them to at very least be a mid table team pushing for play offs but he is not getting anything from his players. Time to go, time to bring in experience Quote
Carlos Posted September 21, 2013 Posted September 21, 2013 I'd fuck off Curtis Fleming today, if defence is his job. Quote
L/H White Posted September 21, 2013 Posted September 21, 2013 Tony Pulis - someone with experience who can organise & manage a football team, not an apprentice learning how to become a manager he's a bit of a cunt, but as a realistic target, he's the best out there to get us out of this mess. Quote
glossopWANDERER Posted September 21, 2013 Posted September 21, 2013 he's a bit of a cunt, but as a realistic target, he's the best out there to get us out of this mess. Best man for the job by a country mile Quote
Carlos Posted September 21, 2013 Posted September 21, 2013 Pulis wouldn't touch a skint rock bottom shit club with a fucking barge pole. Quote
mickbrown Posted September 21, 2013 Posted September 21, 2013 A totally unproven young Manager appointed at a club who expected promotion, last year and this. I said at the time, wrong man, wrong club. On paper we have a very strong team/squad. Its down to the manager to utilise and nurture that talent and ability. He obviously cannot. He needs to go and immediately. We have more chance beating Yeovil without him than with him. He's been over promoted and is being found out big style. This simply cannot be allowed to go on any longer. Pretty much where I'm at. Quote

Guest Blixa Posted September 21, 2013 Posted September 21, 2013 Pulis wouldn't touch a skint rock bottom shit club with a fucking barge pole. Exactly. He'll have bigger and better job offers in time. Quote
MACCA Posted September 21, 2013 Posted September 21, 2013 Have you seen the results of the development squad of late? No mate but like I say no expectation and not the overpaid shite we are watching at the minute. Quote
cbwfcd Posted September 21, 2013 Posted September 21, 2013 We are screwed whether he stays or goes, so I'd give him more time turn it around, if we still look like relegation fodder in a couple of weeks then he needs to go, hopefully it won't come to that. Quote
Drew Peacock Posted September 21, 2013 Posted September 21, 2013 Rather have Megson back than Pulis or Warnock Quote
Gravel rash Posted September 21, 2013 Posted September 21, 2013 Barring one or two, this squad of players is more than good enough for this division. Freedman has had them together more than long enough to make a team out of them but every match they play looks like the first time they've ever met. He's trying to be too clever by half, changing personnel, tactics and formations wholesale, there's no continuity and the players are probably well pissed off. A good manager, a Rioch an Allardyce, maybe a Pulis would be able to walk into this club and start winning matches straight off. Eleven months in and we're still waiting for Dougies long term plan to materialise.... it's not going to happen. Get bout now! As a long shot...what about Mike Phelan (Dons tin hat and takes cover) yep, I know he's DMB but ...... Quote
BL3 white Posted September 21, 2013 Posted September 21, 2013 I think he's lost the dressing room, average players playing dogshit. The club is losing its soul fast. Very pissed off, don't think we've hit bottom yet. Quote
Traf Posted September 21, 2013 Posted September 21, 2013 Rather have Megson back than Pulis or Warnock This with a gallon of Bells. Quote
tomski Posted September 21, 2013 Posted September 21, 2013 (edited) Are the players good enough though? I'm genuinely not sure anymore we hear it week in week out. If they are they are spineless twats who keep getting beat by 'worse' opposition every week. I'm not sure where I sit on this debate anymore Edited September 21, 2013 by tomski Quote
gonzo Posted September 21, 2013 Posted September 21, 2013 The fact that not one concrete offer has come in for any of our players since we were relegated suggests our players aren't as good as we think they are. Quote
