December 24, 201312 yr To lighten the mood a little, I was thinking about players' trademark finishes for us, two spring to mind; Tony Philliskirk, header looping the ball back over the keeper (SJM did this a few times too) Andy Walker, loved to slot the ball low in the corner, simple but effective.
December 24, 201312 yr Not a player for us, but Teddy Sheringhams finish from short(ish) corners. He got away with it shit loads of times
December 24, 201312 yr Used to like the John Thomas shuffle when he'd turbo away from defenders one on one he rarely missed.

I used to try the Phyllis looping headers at school Jut ended up ballooning them Remember Alan Thompson's finish v Forest at home in that televised Sunday game? Sublime
December 24, 201312 yr Henry - the way he would 'open his body up' (tm sky sports 1999ish) and slot them whilst moving at full pace.
December 25, 201312 yr Not a player for us, but Teddy Sheringhams finish from short(ish) corners. He got away with it shit loads of times Leigh Griffiths at Wolves takes a ridiculously good penalty. Apart from missing in the Scottish Cup Semi Final against Falkirk last season (yes, I was there).
December 25, 201312 yr Ray Stewart at west ham used to just smash his penalties so hard no keeper had a chance to get near them. Fabrics Muamba with his trademark 20 yards over or wide shots
December 25, 201312 yr Ivan Klasnic. Best finisher I've ever seen in a Bolton shirt. The one at home to Everton when we won 3-2 sticks in my mind. Petrov was a very good penalty taker also.
December 25, 201312 yr Used to like the John Thomas shuffle when he'd turbo away from defenders one on one he rarely missed.Fuck me, Mounts, I'm sure you remember his first spell, but there was nowt "turbo" about the player I remember! He liked a Cruyff turn, JT, but he was good enough to slow it down so young lads could learn! Romario was such an outstanding finisher I'm not sure he had a trademark other than putting it in the goal. He did like sticking it through the keeper's legs, though, and a particularly enjoyed him making a mug out of Schmeichel. Proper Ronaldo, too - again, very adept, but I always think of him waltzing round the keeper. Michael Owen was high into the top right in the days before he started robbing a living.
December 25, 201312 yr Ricketts for 2 years. Nothing really trademark about it he'd just score. i've never seen anything like him
December 25, 201312 yr Tickets easily best finisher I've seen in a Bolton shirt, either foot, keepers never stood a chance
December 25, 201312 yr Ricketts for 2 years. Nothing really trademark about it he'd just score. Aye. Best finisher I've ever seen in our shirt. Coolness personified. Utter waste of a talent, the fat greedy cunt.
December 25, 201312 yr Tony Yeboah, just fucking smash the ball as hard as humanly possible People will laugh, they will say that it's folly, but we connected like a Yeboah volley.
December 25, 201312 yr Dalglish has to be up there, scored every type of goal......before my time but been told Jimmy Greaves was as good as any
December 29, 201312 yr Jermaine Beckford.... curled exquisitely into the top corner.... the top corner of the stand
December 29, 201312 yr Jermaine Beckford.... curled exquisitely into the top corner.... the top corner of the stand Except that one for Everton against us.
