Things You Remember From Games That Nobody Else Seems To

I still to this day swear that Phil Neal spat full in the face of one of our opponents on his debut for us right in front of the paddock. Am I making this up or what?

I'd add 'kill cricket' to the list, but a few obviously do remember that one. Not least er... Kill cricket.

playing Chelsea circa 2002. a carrier bag had blown on the pitch towards Zenden. he promptly picked it up, rolled it up into a ball, and attempted to throw it 10 yards off the pitch. his face when it gracefully fell to the floor as it left his hand was a picture.

Was that the same carrier bag that tackled Ivan campo?

Now that was fucking brilliant

the henrik pedersen 1-on-1 with cudicini v chelsea when he shinned it with his right leg and it went miles wide..........the ref ended up giving a corner thinking the keeper had saved it !!!!

someone must have it in youtube...........................i pissed myself laughing

casino actually supporting bolton

Lofty wearing a Vegas era Elvis white suit. He might dig it out again given he cannot wear the foul orange number on Saturday.

Hazily remember Fulham walking off and not coming back out to play the extra time, because of a decision they didn't like? Long delay while they were persuaded to return

A few years back my then 15 year old daughter getting an eyeful of a mooning lad's bare arse on the way back from Hull when their minibus passed us on the A63

The pitch invader in fancy dress v Brum at Reebok a year or two back who got as far as giving Joe Hart a bearhug

Colin Hendry dropping his shorts in response to some 'banter' from Burnley fans when warming up before playing them at Turf Moor in the promotion season(I think)

With the Birmingham pitch invader do you mean the guy who ran on in full scuba diving gear complete with flippers and a snorkel and the stewards couldn't catch him. He managed to dive in the back of the net before he was nabbed, now that was a laugh.

Burnley playing at Burnden about 1987. Mugs, bricks & miniature spirit bottles ie vodka, Bells whisky etc flying to & fro over the fence.

Small bottle flew over & whacked a young lad on the eye brow cutting a nasty gash in his head. Hated them 6 fingered in breds ever since

I got hit by a lump of terrace & spent the day in A&E.

Anyone remember one very cold boxing day going to Hartlepool away & a pissed Bolton fan got on the pitch (at half time i think) & walked towards a copper as if to give himself up, then turned round & ran off evading a few steward/police rugby tackles until he was brought down. Classic.

Division 4, 1987, grimmer than a grim story by the Brothers Grimm.

Yeah remember the most pissed bloke ever just whipping it out and having a piss on the terrace

Notts County at home, New Year's Day (I think) mid to late 90s, their fans fighting amongst themselves

QPR at home in the 98 point season, think if we won we got promoted, sell out in the home end, Bolton fans in the away end and punches thrown when we scored

That's an easy one to remember :)

Didn't something similar with a carrier bag happen when that David Thompson we had for a short time was trying to take a free kick? Might be totally wrong on that but I can remember something daft happening with him

Sublime to the ridiculous in such a short space of time

Who was the Arsenal player who shot from six inches out and put it over the bar?

Ljungberg?

Same day we beat em?

The Stellios one was it?

can anyone remember the game at burnden park when the away keeper placed the ball down to take a goal kick and a bolton player (was it garry jones) ran up and put it into a empty net as the ref had deemed the ball hadnt gone out of play and the goal was given

before my time, just, but yes, it did happen

oppo were rotherham and the goalkeeper none other than james mcdonagh

Chungs first game, Sunderland at home I think it was. Comes on, shorts massively too big for him, first touch he falls over the ball, second he tries to take someone on and kicks them in the groin.

Tickled me at the time, was wondering what on earth we'd signed

Super John at Burnden, midweek vs Arsenal, sinking a couple of pints in the bar under the Manny Road Stand in his kit and stockinged feet about 20 mins before kick off. Put Adams on his arse and slotted past Seaman for the only goal of the game. Sports science my arse!

Sotty and his crutches in with the fans at Wrexham.

I was once a ball boy for a match in the mid 70s against Hull and was leaning against the advertising boards in the Embankment End goal. All of a sudden two blokes jumped the fence and landed on top of me, I think they only wanted to get to the Manny Road.
