I wasn't saying we will...just we can if we carry on with the same positivity as yesterday.

I saw enough yesterday to tell me that we will be nowhere near a relegation battle come may.

Gave me a lot of faith that yesterday as I honestly thought we'd lost belief.

I know I sound like a happy clapper wanking senseless over a 1-1 draw but it was a huge relief to see us having a go.

Hope our Douglas has the same feeling this morning.

Think that might of been me :) he is one lazy unfit footballer.

Great minds and all that, Mounts. My first reaction was about his lack of fitness so far. Shame, coz he's a good footballer, with a decent shot (not in evidence yesterday).

There's no doubt he's a lovely touch and a real footballer but underneath he's got a 1.1 litre engine. I'd like to wheel him out on the pitch for corners and set pieces. I thought Eagles should have come on instead of Moritz and still think that would have been a better option.

Not sure about that ........... I was thinking we needed another change to go for a win, but could as easily have cost us the point given Eagles isn't reliable.

Agree with your earlier comment tho : two strikers and aggressive positive intent from the first whistle earlier in the season (especially at home to the Yeovils & Charltons) and we'd be easily 6-8 points better off by now. Is DF learning, or were the last 2 games just another twist in his contstant tinkering ?

I hope that he is leaning, but fear tinkering

Agree with your comment on potential relegation battle. The other big difference between this year and last is that there are three teams near the bottom who just appear as if they are not good enough for this league and can't string results together (Barnsley, Doncaster, Yeovil). Last year, the situation was more volatile the likes of Peterborough were picking up points regularly and the total required to stay up was much higher than usual.

Is promotion necessarily what we're aiming for rather than just a "good" season though? I wouldn't dream of us going up until Coyle's deadwood is finally shifted and then Dougie can have a proper crack at building a squad.

Either way, we're falling short. It was pretty much Coyle's team which finished 7th last season. Dougie's since brought in a dozen players.

Don't ruin the story

How does it end?

I'm not sharing the love on yesterday thought forest were light years ahead of us in the way they approached that game almost completely lost what dougies trying to do just don't get it he says one thing and invariably does the opposite and moritz it's a fat lad that can do kick ups

Good game. We played well. I got wound up by forests tactics and think it raised the crowd and the players performance. We seem to have a steely resilience at the moment which for me shows we are going in the right direction. Hopefully Beckford will be back asap.

That stats is poor piss poor as is 2 wins at home all season, thankfully the Scottish Mourinhio now seems to of clicked that 2 up top is not a tactic from another era, if he'd have played 2 up top all season at home we'd be 6-8 points better off in my opinion.

Did moritz play up top when he came on after 30min? I don't think he did.

Beckford and ngog played very close together like a two.

Moritz was all over the place. Playing on his own at times.

We started as a diamond but is wasmore of a 4141 when he came. Is was certainly no form of 442. Which is no bad thing. Barcelona barely had a formation when they were at their peak.

I guess it shows that players put in performances not formations.

Just goes to show how opinions can vary.

I know I thought that yea forest were niggly and that but they looked a proper football team to me I thought they passed and moved lovely to me we just sort of try and play then lump it but don't press to get the second ball last 20 we were decent but it's all reactive mark davies is different class but was very impressed with Reid Patterson and Lansbury - we've a long long way to go happy to give Dougie time to get the shit out and build but what's gone on this week has pisssed me off wants to promote and play youth yet release 2 lads he got after no time vela gets 15 mins against Blackpool not on bench granted Bolger and White were on bench our best player is a 31 year old on loan medo dropped moritz is a present but can't break a light jog and convincing himself 4-5 changes a week is trendy is total bollox to me I dunnow just fucked off with it TBH

I don't spend all week with a squad of professional footballers, so I'm happy leaving decisions on who stays and who goes to them that do.

Maybe Dougie gets to see the likes of Vela in training every day, and maybe he asks the other pros in the squad whether they think they're up to the job?

Unless you think he just wakes up one morning and decides he should get shut just for the hell of it?

Vela is a holding midfielder we've got spearing doing that job yesterday and medo on the bench for cover we don't need another one on the bench especially at home. To answer walker gregus was released because there was a fee involved Frasers not settled and its better he went home. Edited by Mounts Kipper

I know it's all about opinions but you have to question the sanity of someone who is pissed off with a manager's decision when you are armed with little or no information.

Do they act like that all the time? You're not scanning those Twixes right! Shouting at other drivers, fucking nightmare if they go out for a feed.

Fair comment mounts and spider I just reflect on dougies 12 months and I just get a whiff of serious constant contradiction week in week out yea it may be the result of circumstance or he's floundering time will tell I guess - are we work in progress or has he not really started yet? Can't get the players out so can't get players in so can't play how he wants so it's just survival mode?

Never thought id be questioning Dougie contrary to a mounts post !!
