Hypothetically though, if it were to happen, I'd want a ruthless headkicker not another 'players mate'. As McCarthy seems well ensconced in tractor country, Alex McLeish would probably fit the bill - even Warnock. Neither would take any fucking about by overpaid ponces.

Why is McLeish so detested? Much prefer him to pillocks like Warnock. Don't think Dougie is going anywhere but I wouldn't mind Big Eck, won a trophy at Birmingham and was unlucky at villa in that he was on a hiding to nothing all along. Be better than what we've got
