Razaldo9 Posted January 13, 2015 Posted January 13, 2015 I think that the only things that have happened is Lennon didn't realise that nobody would want half the shite that we have and thus freed up funds for wages etc would be so bloody difficult. I also think he overestimated how big a pull BWFC were to players which has been proven with the boy choosing sheff weds over us I think the financial constraints were explained he just didn't realise how hard it would be to work within it Nixon said we didnt offer to pay all of Bakers wage. Wednesday did. Quote
Wullie Posted January 13, 2015 Posted January 13, 2015 If you think NL didn't know the financial measures we are are currently, you are sadly deluding yourself. Players who won't sign contracts at the end of the season, should be the ones to get rid now and receive any money we can for them. It was very obvious from the interview in the BEN, it wasn't frustration with not being backed, but actually getting clubs to part with players. If he "walks away" it will be for a club in the premiership, something that would always be a risk to us anyway. It comforts me that any player he brings in, it is HIM that makes the decision, he won't just bring in bodies. Quote

Sweep Posted January 13, 2015 Posted January 13, 2015 Yes people seem to think that because we've won a few Eddie will turn on the tap again Them people are fucking idiots then. Even if he wanted to splash £10M on players, he's not allowed to due to FFP Also, I would be very surprised if NL wasn't aware of our financial situation before signing, it's hardly a secret is it. NL presumably will also be aware of FFP and there fore again probably won't be overly surprised he's not got a massive transfer fund Quote
Traf Posted January 13, 2015 Posted January 13, 2015 Them people are fucking idiots then. I'm sure we've more than our required quota. Quote
jagermoot Posted January 13, 2015 Posted January 13, 2015 Fran merida who used to play for arsenal is apparently a free agent. Saw him on MOTD a few times, seemed ok. Then again MOTD could make any team look half decent (I'm looking at you, man u) Quote

Guest Blixa Posted January 13, 2015 Posted January 13, 2015 Are those Celtic players still at the hotel? They'll be like Alan Partridge and his big plate at the Linton Travel Tavern soon. Quote

Guest Blixa Posted January 13, 2015 Posted January 13, 2015 He also said Lennon knew the financial restrictions upon joining. Course he does, which is why he seems to be punting various fringe players around right now. If someone bites, we'll have folding to spend. If not, the young lads get a break. Personally think we are looking at upper mid table this season. All the work will be in the close season. Quote
waffer cup 07 Posted January 13, 2015 Posted January 13, 2015 Leicester have agreed a fee of less than £1m with Wigan for Shaun Maloney. Quote
