Df - Nearly 2 Years On......................

To the surprise of many he was appointed late Oct 2012 - nearly two years ago to a team which consisted of a Premier League squad. We were favourites for promotion at the beginning of the season, yet the start had been disappointing under Coyle. The brief though was simple as per his GMR interview shortly after his appointment - promotion. The start was disappointing and although we went on a strong run in the early part of 2013, even the play-offs were found to be beyond our grasp, such had been the poor start in his first 2/3 months.

We started the following season second favourites for promotion. What followed was the clubs worse start in over 100 years and people fearing the unthinkable - relegation. Although things picked up slightly in the New Year, when the season had effectively ended, the play-offs were never in sight and another disappointing season came to a close.

This current season has once again started in a disappointing manner and worse then last years at the current time - 1 point from 3 games. DF tried to hoodwink everyone at the start of the season by stating that the fans and the clubs expectations are aligned - no they are not.

Common themes throughout his tenure are inconsistent/negative team formations, players playing out of position and a general lack of entertainment.  He has also proved himself on numerous occasions to be tactically inept and I can barely remember him making a positive impact with a sub.

He now claims that he now has a fantastic honest bunch of players. Unfortunately they are not very good at doing what they are paid to do - play football and they are yours.

We are fast approaching D-day, and the indications are clearly there for all to see. DF is not the man for this club and is clearly out of his depth. Indeed in this day and age he has been very lucky to last this long.

A decision needs making quick and there are far more experienced Managers with better CV's currently out of work. Billie Davies springs to mind.

Come on Eddie get your finger out and put DF and the fans out of our misery.

  • What baffles me completely is Dfs priorities in terms of attitude and desire. It's something the fans like to hear yet we have the resilience and heart of a frozen pea. We NEVER look comfortable wit

Haha I was waiting for bowton baked! :-)

I have wised up to you sunshine :)

But just for the record.

GARY FOOKIN' NEVILLE, Munich bastard, not on my bloody watch, get t'fook.

if we're going to take another punt on the next one, let's give Dave Clements lad a call.

Do you trust him to find his own way?

He'll have already planned his route 3 weeks ago, regardless of what roadworks may pop up en route in the meantime.

But if it's a route he practised whilst traffic was quiet, he will make massive changes next time.

I don't want him sacked but if he is then Keith Hill.

i'm with this, except i want him out...

which is unusual for me...

Reckon Keith Hill would be wary of shatting on his own doorstep after what happened at Barnsley.

Ian Holloway will be our next manager when Dougie leaves for palace on Tuesday

ITK

I'd rather have the inmates of Holloway Prison.

Ipswich are fucking wank. Dont look any better than us at all.

Neil Lennon is available

Not sure if he is the answer tbh. Hard to know about him as he had it very easy at Celtic.

I think Dougie is poor but we need to make sure the new guy is better and not just another punt.

If there's any positives from hanging on to Freedman for so long, it shows we'll give new managers time.

This might attract a new guy even though we have no funds.

Df has to go. He's deluded and hasn't learned a thing.

Holloway is a complete cunt

I would have him but my opinion of him would never change

One of the Fltcroft brothers for me, either, I don't mind

Don't actually think Freedman is a bad manager. Problem is that he's a fairly inexperienced one and lacking a good coaching setup.

The management and coaching team don't seem to have a preferred system and as such, they don't have a settled team. Burnley last year had a squad that was really on a par with us if not worse, but they had an effective system and a preferred first 11. That's what we are lacking - and that's not going to change worryingly. The 'bingo machine' is the biggest problem Freedman has got.

Still don't think he will be sacked though. We can't afford a striker, let alone paying off a management team. And it's too early to sack for Bolton, we tend to leave these things a bit longer (unless it is Sammy Lee).

He'd make Megson look like Supa John

Any of those got it and it would be confirmation that we are back in the lower leagues.

I'd rather have Coyle's table tennis table in charge.

If we get rid of DF we should be in for Chris Hughton.

We've successfully trimmed the wage bill

No more punts, that has got us where we are. We need experience. He might not be everyone's cup of tea, but Phil brown for me. He knows the club and structure, he got Hull promoted (yeah, I know Coyle did with Burnley). He also took Southend to the play off final last year. He has form unlike this shit stick we currently have. He would get us organised and with a settled system. Most all, he'd probably pay us to do the job

I wouldn't mind brownie actually

Super John as director if football

Chris Hughton for me if he wanted it

Not many who would crawl over broken glass for the job, Brownie would be one of them but could he do a better job than Dougie?

Spot on assessment there imo.

He'd have been better off staying at Palace and tailoring his bonkers systems and man management skills there.

He reminds of a shit AVB.

Bitten off more than he can chew and came thinking it was going to be a walk in the park with a team littered with ex-prem stars.

He hasn't a clue how to get us out of this.

Could he do a better job

Stevie Wonder would do a better job

not a bad shout

Or wee Jimmy Krankie with Jules Darby as assistant
