October 9, 201411 yr Roy Keane spotted in Burger King Middlebrook with Phil G! I've just seen him on TV & wondered if he'd been sleeping in the doorway of a take away for a few weeks.
October 9, 201411 yr Dean Windass spotted in Nandos, Middlebrook - with Kenny G, Dario G (of 'SunChime' fame), Fred Gee and Cecil Gee. No Phil G present though, so panic over.
October 9, 201411 yr We need a hard man to kick some of our ponces up the arse! Mowbray would do this and Bruce Rioch once said “If I had to fly to the moon I’d take Tony Mowbray, my captain, with me. He’s a magnificent man.”
October 9, 201411 yr Mowbray and Hughton both seem a bit meh to me but I'm sure there's more to them than how they come across. It will take a strong personality to galvanise the club from top to bottom, Lennon and Brown have this although I have always despised Lennon for the wrong reasons.
October 9, 201411 yr I think Lennon as he can set up a Celtic team to stop Barcelona, he can at least try to sort out back 4 out, wouldn't Alan Thompson be coming with him too?? Plus if a majority of spl clubs are as good as championship clubs, with the players he could bring in from up there it could work. Plus I think he has a lot to prove in whatever division he goes to
October 9, 201411 yr It's between Neil Lennon and Steve Clarke. Decision to be made tomorrow, announced on Saturday. ITK
October 9, 201411 yr Dean Windass spotted in Nandos, Middlebrook - with Kenny G, Dario G (of 'SunChime' fame), Fred Gee and Cecil Gee. No Phil G present though, so panic over. That's clearly a lie. There is no Nando's at Middlebrook.
October 9, 201411 yr If Hughton gets the gig I will be totally underwhelmed. He's the only one out of all of the names mentioned that I feel that way about. All the rest I think are really good candidates but I just can't get excited by the thought of Hughton taking over. One that has surprised me is Mowbray, I wasn't too fussed about him at 1st but having read quite a bit about him, a lot of which is from fans from previous clubs, it seems he is very highly regarded in most cases and generally plays attractive football. They're not things you usually here from fans of teams that managers have left. Any of Mackay, Lennon, Mowbray or Clarke I'd be very happy with. Brown I could get on board with but Hughton just doesn't inspire me, he'd obviously get my full backing but I wouldn't have the buzz that I would if one of the others was announced. October 9, 201411 yr So waste over a week with a new gaffer not being able to work with the squad the full 2 weeks
October 9, 201411 yr So waste over a week with a new gaffer not being able to work with the squad the full 2 weeks Aye, we should have grabbed the first bloke passing on the street and given him a three-year deal. That would work in the long term. None of this careful consideration / interview nonsense eh?
October 9, 201411 yr Aye, we should have grabbed the first bloke passing on the street and given him a three-year deal. That would work in the long term. None of this careful consideration / interview nonsense eh? Plus as established at the last international break, players not on international duty get a reduced schedule during this week anyway.
October 9, 201411 yr Well surely gartside knew dougies days were numbered so should of been sniffing then as soon as the trigger was pulled boom grab him
October 9, 201411 yr Hughton must have had his interview today then. Hope they asked him if he's got such a good eye for a player, why did he sign Johan Elmander
