City's top looks like something you'd find on a mid 90's jumble sale

It's a bit odd that

We know who they are

Are they now sponsoring themselves to get round FFP?

nowt to do with distance and that for me, Liverpool brought fuck all, similar distance

it's more on the one had it's decent because it's the papa johns, but seriously lads, have you got nothing better to do?

guess it must be the new ground

losers

They’re probably thinking it’s their only chance to tick it. Much like when we took a few hundred down to Cheltenham in the same competition thinking we’d never play them in a league game 😂

No carling cup for city this season

Why are all the rags (meaning newspapers, not scum sympathisers) claiming their 'five year reign' is over?

20th September 2017, their 2-1 3rd Round win over West Brom to their penalties defeat to West Ham t'other night isn't five years...

And even if one claims the competition ends in 2022:

A. It ends in February 2022, still short of five years.

and

B. City are no longer involved anyway.

So, the last time they lost was the season prior to the September 2017 match. Say, for simplicity, September 2016.

That being, approx. 5 years before last nights.

So "a 5 year reign". Simple enough.

So Bolton Wanderers are now enjoying thirteen and a half year reign unbeaten in Europe?

Rocky Marciano's Ghost is unbeaten in sixty odd years...

Zaire are enjoying a near fifty year unbeaten World Cup reign.

They (Emirates) were knocked out.

The meter only started running again when they re-entered the competition (17th September 2017).

FACT.

You asked. I told you. If the answer doesn't suit stick to your own, incorrect, version.

their reign and "winning streak" are two different things as well

their reign begins when they win a trophy

the "winning streak" starts after their last loss

i put it in quotes because they've drawn games that have gone to pens and also lost two leggged ties

I beg to differ again.

A 'winning streak' cannot start with a loss, it's oxymoronical.

'Unbeaten' is debatable, but definitely not the above ^.

In a league maybe going back to the last loss can be shoehorned into some kind of 'run' - but nothing that intimates it's a 'winning' or (imo) an 'unbeaten' one.

In a knockout comp it's totally different, ANY positive run after being eliminated only begins when one rejoins the competition (or, barely justifiably, when the competition restarts)...

When Romania beat England in the group stages in Toulouse during France '98 you didn't have John Motson bemoaning:

"And with the final whistle there goes England's near Eight year unbeaten reign in World Cup Finals stretching back to that cruel defeat to West Germany on penalties in Turin..."

I think the good Dr. is being obtuse because he's still got the hump from when I compared Maddison to a chocolate bar.
