I think the difference is nobody fans of other clubs take much notice of either the conference league or sherpa van. Fine if you're involved, it doesn't make it relevant to the football world generally. I was buzzing when we won the Lancashire Cup in the late 80s, I don't think the result was even printed in the papers the next day and it definitely wasn't reported on except in the BEN, that had banner headlines 😀 An irrelevant cup that's fun to win if you're in it.

Prompted me to search for it. Forgot they came down same season and we played them as equals a few months later. Think we got beat 3-1 away and it was going off in the chaddy end.
