I'm not a fan of what I'm about to say because it's used unnecessarily at times. But Oldham is a proper northern club. Good to see them back in the league. Chuffed for 'em.

They should be down to 10 men, their lad up top has just punched the Vale centre back in the face off the ball (completely randomly) - properly bust his nose! Ref gave a yellow card which is a terrible decision, he either didn’t see it or he did and it’s the most obvious red you’ll ever see.

I’ve no idea how they’re 3-0 up. Vale have missed 2 sitters and hit the bar. You’d be seriously pissed off as a Port Vale fan to be 3-0 down and not now facing 10 men

Should be a retrospective ban. Ref can not have seen it clearly.

Can they do a retrospective ban though?

As the ref gave a card, I think the rules mean the incident was dealt with at the time.

If the ref reviews it  and says if he saw it clearly it would be a red they can. Think it has to come from the ref rather than just a general review like Dapo got at Lincoln

Ta.

Strange thing though, if he didn't see it clearly, what made him give a yellow in the first place?

He must have felt there was foul play.

Interesting game tonight Bradford v Lincoln and can’t make my mind up who I want to win. If either I’d rather Lincoln win as it prevents Bradford going further ahead and keeps both within striking distance although a draw would probably do the same. I suppose we’re enough game in now to see who’s doing what and it’s interesting to speculate whether teams will stay where they are or fall away. Last few seasons there’s been very few who have really dropped away and there doesn’t seem to be anyone running away with it this year so with pretty much anyone being able to beat anyone else it could be a really close season to the end. The chart below indicates that few teams at this stage fall right out of it.

draw fer me with red cards for Sarcevic and Humphries so they get can't play against us

Lincoln win, or draw.

Lincoln might scrape the playoffs, Bradford have a bit more potential, although I expect them to also just be scraping the playoffs.

Not sure where you read it but they were in the same division from 2007 to 2011.

Cardiff putting in a really impressive first half performance at Wrexham.

Tom Cleverly about to be typing his cv out as things stand at Mansfield

Youth team won 2-1 against Chester

How Bradford and Lincoln are near the top of this league tells you all you need to know about the quality this year. They’re awful.

This year is a better chance than the Pompey/Derby year.

Just put Wrexham on. GT in a back 3, wtf.

Perky chucking on strikers since Cardiffs goal.

Good result Bradford Lincoln drawing. Point looked about right too

Good for us - tightening up at the top. Mansfield now a point behind us and only Barnsley can leapfrog us, but they’ve been pants recently. We’re well in the mix now.

Cashed out my card bet as soon as I saw that, he needs to be running around midfield like a headless chicken

Cardiff out of the top two

Hopefully Cardiff get a plum draw in the next round and get all distracted for a few weeks.

Next game is at "Ian Evatt's Blackpool"

Watched the Bradford vs Lincoln game and Bradford were awful. Dirty lot as well. How are they second

And Stevenage have games in hand so we could do with pegging them back too.

Thought the same , very poor.   And I am pretty certain that one of their players was trying to square up to a teammate at the final whistle which is nice

Delighted to see Cardiff lose last weekend. Delighted to see Cardiff win last night.

The hills and valleys of being a football lover :D

Oh, and great goal from Andre-Frank Zambo.

Santos on bench for Swansea tonight

Think that might be his first inclusion of the season
