I actually hope Everton finish 4th.

Not because I want Everton to do well, just that I'd like to see Arsenal fail to qualify for the CL.  Their fans piss me off.

Yep, but its not about the destination, its about the journey !

Your quite right the journey is what its all about. Anyhow good luck I hope you do it just to break up the big 4, also

hope you fail spectacularly if you do get in will be good entertainment. :)

Aye, me too.

I'd also get some pleasure knowing that The Chosen One has turned title winners into a mid-table club in a season, whilst the team he left has taken their place in the top 4 for the first time in nearly a decade.

We are good at that.

Im just excited to be in Europe next season, any Europe. We all know how good the Euro trips are.

Would just be a massive bonus if it was CL, with getting his target in the first season.

No game at the pit, mate.

You know what I meant.

Looking forward to it, just hope Carroll & Downing don't come back to haunt them.

Just seen that Sunderland where fined when they played ji dong-won who was ineligable at the time, including in the cup which they got to the final of!

Why where they not docked points and kicked out of the cup as has happened with other teams in the past?

Of the four league matches played, they lost 3 and drew 1. So the points deduction would only be the 1 point they wrongly gained. There is no scope to deduct more, but there is discretion available to waive the deduction, as was done in this case. Of course that 1 point could very easily prove crucial.

MK Dons were "furious" that Sunderland were not kicked out of the League Cup.

The situation is that he was a Sunderland player (South Korean), returning to his parent club from a loan spell in Germany, who would nevertheless not be eligible until his international clearance (from Germany) was received. It was in the De Canio period.

Since Crystal Palace and Fulham were 2 of the clubs who beat Sunderland, they certainly wouldn't want the matches replayed. Same for ManU, although Southampton, who only drew, might see merit in a replay.
