MalcolmW Posted April 5, 2014 Posted April 5, 2014 5th place is now 67 points. Reading have 63 but are at Bournemouth on Tuesday. (Their next 2 matches are then home to Leicester and away to Wigan.) Forest, Brighton, Ipswich and Bournemouth are all on 58. Forest have yet to visit Bournemouth, and host Brighton on the final day. Ipswich have a home match v Bournemouth to come. As there are 4 matches between the clubs in 6th to 10th, they must gather at least 8 points between them. Quote

MalcolmW Posted April 5, 2014 Posted April 5, 2014 I see Bayern lost Hope they are saving it for Wednesday Bayern rested Lahm, Robben, and Ribéry, and three youngsters (Höjbjerg, Weiser, Sallahi) were in the starting XI. Götze, Alaba, and Müller only played the 2nd half. We'll have to wait until Wednesday to see if it was worth it. (And Sami Hyppia has been sacked by Leverkusen.) Quote

MalcolmW Posted April 5, 2014 Posted April 5, 2014 Blackpool look fucked, as most of the bottom teams seem to be getting results. 6 matches ago they were 6 points clear of the relegation spots (which included Charlton, with 3 games in hand). Now they are 6 points clear of the relegation spots (only Barnsley have a game in hand). They do still face Derby, Burnley, Brighton and Wigan, plus Leeds (!), and host Charlton on the final day. Doncaster (1 pt above Blackpool) will certainly look for a win on Tuesday, as their remaining home matches are against Derby and Reading, with trips to Ipswich, Millwal and, on the final day, Leicester.
