Tonge moor green jacket Posted May 2, 2024 Posted May 2, 2024 Ronnie's had a bitch about a ref. Not sure how he can criticise her for a potential flaw in the table. Quote

Well the colour kept rolling a touch when she re-spotted it, so a tiny divot in the cloth. Maybe she'd done a bit of modelling in a Tony Knowles style photo shoot, and a nip had left an impression. I get that any movement of the baize would alter the positioning of the colour-spots and so they can be peeled off and repositioned but the two tables at the Crucible are re-covered 11 times over the course of the championship. They could be felt-tipped on so balls can’t roll off. Quote
Tonge moor green jacket Posted May 3, 2024 Posted May 3, 2024 Are those spots still used on pub pool tables etc? Would peel off after a while, but not before getting worn and going crinkly. Quote

boogs Posted May 4, 2024 Posted May 4, 2024 Binghams head must be in bits there. Every time he's played a sublime shot in the last 20 mins, he's followed it with something either shit or completely ridiculous Quote
Tonge moor green jacket Posted May 4, 2024 Posted May 4, 2024 Looking like the "cottage burner" will get through. Quote

Alf Hartigan Posted April 23, 2025 Posted April 23, 2025 Judd Trump playing the best snooker I’ve ever seen here. Quote
boogs Posted April 24, 2025 Posted April 24, 2025 Not sure how I feel about lads that are still in the tournament doing commentary/punditry on other games. Seemed a bizarre situation to me last night when Judd Trump won his game then found himself being "interviewed" by Sean Murphy in the studio right after it, who he will be playing in the next round. Just find it a bit strange Quote
jmjhb Posted April 25, 2025 Posted April 25, 2025 (edited) Shame that top quarter is absolute trash Ronnie or Si to save snooker Edited April 25, 2025 by jmjhb Quote
Alf Hartigan Posted April 26, 2025 Posted April 26, 2025 Fucking hell, Luca Brucel tonight. As good as Trump the other night. Can’t help but think one of the Chinese players might win this year. Can’t remember their names though. Ding is the only one that sticks in my head. Quote

Way the draw has gone that looked the most dangerous match for him all tournament - sure he'll go and muck up now against someone easier now I've said that, but despite whooping him this year Murphy has had a habit of pulling out unplayable performances against Trump in the past. maaarsh Posted April 28, 2025 Posted April 28, 2025 Murphy nearly did it again then, lucky he didn't start like that, catch him on the wrong streak and he can knock anyone out Quote
