Absolutely incredible sequence of events in that last frame.

That's what you get for maybe being too honest if your Mark Selby there, but no way he refuses that free ball if he wasn't 4 frames infront.

It was a good watch. Selby went from looking the best player in the world in the afternoon to being a shambles later, missing loads of shots that even I could have potted. Glad he won though. Agreed about that free ball decision he made. Surprised none of the Chinese didn’t further with there being 12 in the tournament.

Great final this. Awesome shots equally matched by arse twitching madness. Perfect mix for snooker.

Higgins has had a shocker. Surprised he's got 6 frames. Saying that I'd love him to get back to 9 each and watch a deciding frame. Love this tournament.

Yea its the best tournament. Pretty much always dramatic.

Got a real soft spot for Higgins. Good to see the old guard still competing, would've liked to see him do it.

11 Chinese at the world's this year

Always thought snooker has brought little serious talent through for years, as seen by the class of 92 still occupying the top for the rankings for years

But the Chinese will no doubt take over

Kids in this country are picking up darts now, not snooker cues

100% that, although they stopped playing snooker long before darts came along though. 10 years ago, there were 4 local snooker halls near me, now zero.

Once the Chinese fully take it over, which they will, interest will totally die, within 25 years I'd guess it may disappear altogether from the TV screens in this country, as there will absolutely no appetite to watch it

Few years back my mate and me were members of a snooker club

Neither of us could play but it was a cheap place to go drinking and we could go in after the pubs closed

We might have the odd game, both of us shit, and there would be about five other people in there

Once Ronnie fully packs up it will fall off cliff.

I went to Bolton Snooker Club on the odd occasion.

Like you say, we couldn't play as such, but enjoyed it nonetheless. Relaxed, fairly quiet, and a beer or two.

Robbie Savage was in there on one occasion.

Propping up the bar, with a pint of mild or Guiness.

It's my favourite game by a country mile. Think I enjoy watching it as much as football tbh. I am also shit at it and my best break is only 35. And yes, I'd call it a game rather than a sport but not sure that matters, as they both require a level of talent to play.

The Chinese are definitely taking over mainly due to sheer numbers playing it, but they're still coming through over here. Judd Trump won't be world number 1 much longer as Zhao Xintong looks to be the new Ronnie, and expect him to win again this year despite looking a bit jittery in his first round win. Saying that, anyone could still come through and win it. After watching his first round watch out for Mark Allen this year.

I feel like it's been the worst Worlds for a while.

Certainly an awful lot of missed shots that have ended up way off, in all games and by top players too. Enjoyable though. Think Yu Wize might win it now. Seems less error prone than the others. Higgins and Robertson are all over the shop in this final quarter final.
