Firstly because it will take up most of the traditional Christmas bullshit season so we'll all be talking about football and not festivities. Secondly just for the novelty factor. And thirdly because we can see whether or not our well worn excuse about our players being tired stands up to scrutiny.

Yes it’s a big game, but it’s a game we are expected to win at the moment. City v United is a big game every city fan would expect to win.

Football is not played by rankings. England v Germany is always a big game at a major tournament. 

Really not sure how you can get to a final of a competition and the semi final of another and not encounter any 'big' games?

I've just seen an old colleague of mine (and fully grown man) - suggest that we lost because we took the knee and it out is at a psychological disadvantage! 😳😳😳😁

He might have a point, who’s going to strike fear into the opposition a team taking the knee or a team doing the Haka, psychology works in strange ways.
