I got the impression that he plays well as long as he's getting a run of games and the team is generally doing well.

 

Doesn't help when he becomes the scapegoat and gets shit from his own fans when things aren't going so well.

 

But yeah, I'd definitely give him a run at centre back if his contract isn't too expensive - which I feel it might be. If it's too high I can see him being shown the door at the first opportunity.
