Escobarp Posted January 21, 2018 Posted January 21, 2018 Gronk gone that’s now fatal I reckon. Can’t see them winning this without him sadly. Wow Gronk going has meant they’ve had to go elsewhere and it’s worked. The defence has ramped up its game as well no end in this half. Quote
frank_spencer Posted January 21, 2018 Posted January 21, 2018 you need at least a 3 score lead against brady he's too damn good. Quote
frank_spencer Posted January 21, 2018 Posted January 21, 2018 I’m saying nothing In my ABTP mode now i'm on team Vikings. #SKOL Quote
MancWanderer Posted January 21, 2018 Posted January 21, 2018 Well done Pats. Brady was immense today Quote
Escobarp Posted January 21, 2018 Posted January 21, 2018 This should be a good game coming up. Tempted to stay up and watch the first half at least Vikings In a close one for me but would prefer the eagles to win as I don’t want vikings to be at home in the super bowl against the pats and I think they match up better against the eagles anyway. Escobarp Posted January 21, 2018 Posted January 21, 2018 Well done Pats. Brady was immense today As Frank says he’s just metronomic. Just a machine. Never anything flash but gets the job done Think huge plaudits also to the coaches for turning that around with some great play calling. Also I think the jags just sat back too much and didn’t do enough in the latter part Terrible call to blow that fumble dead though. Although I didn’t actually think it was a fumble as thought he was down whilst having regained control. Quote
bolty58 Posted January 22, 2018 Posted January 22, 2018 It's grim That last touchdown run goes more than 2 yards against a rugby union pack and theyd be off to league before the night was out Listen to one who knows. I have seen quality (amateur) RL players who have arrived and struggled in this game. Different concept but I know I am wasting my time. If you find it grim then don't watch it. Simple. Quote

Although I didn’t actually think it was a fumble as thought he was down whilst having regained control. Arguably a genius. Such a shame he will forever tainted with Deflategate etc. They are easily good enough without any underhand stuff which make it all the more puzzling why they ever felt the need to resort to this. Eagles beating the Vikings pretty amazing (not watched it yet) but I suppose the pats will be happy with that instead of having to face a heavy hometown advantage. Hoping for, but not expecting, an Eagles victory. Quote
Escobarp Posted January 22, 2018 Posted January 22, 2018 Superb performance from the eagles by all accounts. Two number 1 seeds in the super bowl. Let’s hope it’s a good game Quote

Best thing ever that Kodi box I bought. Match of the Day with my Sunday morning full English and up to date with everything else instead of having to wait 6 weeks for Foxtel or someone to get it. Back to the discussion, plenty of RB's 'feel' the gaps and hesitate and wait to see what opens up. Others have been drilled to the nth degree with particular plays and carry them out to the letter (i.e. not even looking for anything opening up - just play to the letter). Not sure which particular instance you are talking about TBH. Quote
L/H White Posted January 22, 2018 Posted January 22, 2018 Vikings win the superbowl for me shut up ya daft prick you know fuck all Quote

maaarsh Posted January 22, 2018 Posted January 22, 2018 Hugely enjoying watching the replay back of the Eagles game - bookies have the Pats down as winners in 2 weeks time, but the Eagles were under-dogs the last 2 games and look by far the better team on the basis of last night. Obviously Foles rather than Wentz weakens the team, but we're 5 wins from 5 games where Foles completed the game since Wentz was injured, so people may need to start noticing our defense is unplayable (2 straight games where teams scored on an opening drive and were then completely locked down for the next 55 minutes).. Looking forward to discovering whether defense really does win Championships, or if a team built around 1 star is the way to go. Quote
maaarsh Posted January 22, 2018 Posted January 22, 2018 Just for fun, Nick Foles post season record now stands at (3 games) - 72/96 (75%) for 793 yards (8.2 per attempt), 5 TD, 0 Int, 116 QB rating Quote

I thought Atlanta scored twice Your defence is very good indeed much better than the pats and could be the defining area. But Also you locked down a 3rd choice qb last night not the leagues leading quarterback and top offence, which it’s has to be to cope with the defensive frailties Should be a good game. The best team on the night will win and will hopefully be a superb game. Quote
MancWanderer Posted January 22, 2018 Posted January 22, 2018 Eagles were the form team a few weeks ago but they dropped off a bit. Hope yesterday’s win means that they at least give the Pats a game. Can’t see past Brady though. He may be tainted but he’s the best QB I’ve ever seen since I started watching the NFL in the late 80s. BTW what time is the Super Bowl ko UK time? Quote

Keenum may be a 3rd choice QB, but he's a 3rd choice QB who will be signing a massive contract to start next year after playing great as a starter for 16 games before getting destroyed last night. Yes, the Falcons scored off a turnover short field (18 yards) - didn't manage a proper drive after the first series of the game. Should be a fun Superbowl; any team can beat any other in a single game - for me the Eagles are the overall more complete and talented team, but the experience and composure advantage for the Pats could be key. SalfordOriginal Posted January 22, 2018 Posted January 22, 2018 Anyone been to a superbowl night to watch it? Looking at a couple in Manchester but wondered what it's like Quote
Zico Posted January 22, 2018 Posted January 22, 2018 Don't forget their big mate The Donald thought he was a Bills fan just because this NFL bod I used to work with told me he was, when he was pointing out the two most famous people associated with the team I'd picked were Donald Trump and OJ Simpson Quote
Escobarp Posted January 22, 2018 Posted January 22, 2018 I think he thought about or tried to buy the bills. Not sure if he’s a fan Quote
