Quietly going about her business...

That don't impress me much

What about Peter Jones?

Not forgetting his mate Hilary.

Don't know if this is the right thread but BN reporting that the club have opted against a further downgrade of the academy.

Good news in my view and may indicate confidence in disposing of high earners.

I think if asset stripping was the aim (tbf no one has mentioned this for a bit) this news puts that to bed as surely it would of been a no brainer they could of probably justified

So with the appointment of the two new consultants, Deano is now Director of Football.

Can't find anything following yesterday's crunch talks concerning our transfer embargo. Anyone itk

Anderson said it will take a few days for all the paperwork to filter through, or summat like that.

It's linked to "Article 50" and it won't be lifted until the Prime Minister triggers that I've heard

So we are looking at a minimum of 2 years?

sounds about right

Blessing in disguise. Means we'll continue promoting from within instead of loaning someone, plonking walker on bench and then expecting him to bag 4 when given a 6 minute run out

Fucking hell,

Fair play to what they are doing upto now.

Certainly putting to bed my initial fears.

The likely lifting of the embargo is very good news as is the news of new signings, I have heard that ZC will be sacrificed in order to balance the books and although that's sad news for me but if that helps us become stable and provides the springboard for a quick return to the Championship that will at least be of some comfort.

I see the twitter rumours are flying around that since Paul Aldridge came in, we're now being bankrolled by Milan Mandaric. 2+2 = 54.

There is gonna be no quick return to the championship

Agreed.

No expectations of that sort, I'd settle for a bit of financial stability and not losing every week for a while

Going out on a limb here, but well finish top two.

Reasonable if unspectacular start, then gradual improvement and promotion challenge as Park's influence kicks in and season ticket holders' early optimism is borne out.

I'll second that

I'd rather hope we do well than think we will be shit.

Where's the point in being negative. No matter or realistic it may be.

Hmm being analytical and firmly of the opinion that I simply don't know where we'll end up, I'd suggest that squad depth is the key at this level.

Certainly it paid off for Wigan at the back end of last year.

Do we have a large enough squad, of this league ability to cope?

Think we will have to wait until August 6th for that answer. I'm very hopeful if the embargo is lifted of a good season, top 8 would be good play offs would be fantastic.
