It's strange you slate Lennon so powerfully who's doing a job with little moral support or financial backing yet choose to defend the job done by Gartside which has brought us where we are today.

Interesting point...

In essence, a club trying hard to adhere to FFP has all but entered administration - the very thing that FFP is trying to help avoid.

why don't we fill the hotel with migrants ,then cross charge it to HMRC

Probably a misreading of the Accounts

Is today "another" big day?

Is today "another" big day?

Yes, massive!

We'll go into administration on 17th January. A few more weeks of doom & gloom to look forward to yet.

Aha! I have worked out which blondie you are.

What date is the cut off when teams going into administration have the points deduction pushed into the following season?

3rd week in march

3rd week in march

Do we have to be out of administration by then? Or is it only if you come out and re enter you get hit with further points?

as soon as you go into administration the 12 point penalty will be "awarded"  -  so if we go into admin today, then we get hit with the -12pts today.

If we go into administration at the end of March, then I think you still get -12pts this season, but then also start next season on -12pts  (basically to stop teams going into admin once they're already relegated, when the points deduction doesn't really matter)

That's how I understand it, although I'm happy to be corrected. I'm sure Malcolm will be able to find out what actually happens

Don't worry about that. Well go unbeaten anyway next season.

I thought if you go into Admin after a certain date the points are deducted in the next season IF they make no difference to your league position this season.

So if we would be relegated even without a deduction it is carried forward, equally if we were safe after a deduction they are carried forward, think rule was introduced when Leeds tried to go into Admin when they were already relegated, they got an even bigger deduction the next season.

So basically as per your note. Which makes me wonder why I bothered :give_rose:

Not sure if I'm allowed to quote this verbatum but it's an extract from the FL. officisl site.

"Clubs have approved changes to the League’s Insolvency Policy - under which it manages any club that suffers an insolvency event - with the aim of strengthening a number of its key principles, while maintaining a ‘rescue culture’ that gives clubs the opportunity to restructure their financial affairs and continue in league football.

Going forward, any club that goes into Administration will suffer an immediate 12 point Sporting Sanction, an increase on the current 10 point penalty.

Once appointed, the Administrator will be required to market the club for at least 21 days during which time he/she will be required to meet with the club's supporters’ trust and provide it with the opportunity to bid for the club.

The League has removed the requirement for the purchaser to achieve a Company Voluntary Arrangement (CVA) meaning that it will transfer the club's share in The Football League to the Administrator's preferred bidder subject to their compliance with the League's other requirements.  It is anticipated that this will reduce the insolvency period and the associated professional costs, as well as providing greater certainty that the club will continue, thereby delivering a greater return to creditors.  It will also prevent the Administration process being controlled by the club’s previous owner who in some instances will be the only party able to achieve a CVA.  Again, it is expected that this will deliver a better return for creditors by increasing the number of potential purchasers. On exit, the purchaser will be required to pay creditors a minimum of 35 pence in the pound over 3 years (or 25 pence on transfer of share) or face a further 15 point deduction at the start of the season following the

insolvency event.

I'm going away to find some sunshine on NYE. Hopefully somerhing will be sorted by the time I get back.

Why are we so unprofitable relative to other Championship clubs?

Can't work that one out. Thought that we had got rid of most of the high earners.

Where's current income like the TV money and gate receipts going?

And now NL is doubting if he's the man to lead us to safety. [bolton News]

Aren't we all.

I think it's safe to say we still have a very high wage bill, and our gate receipts are pretty poss poor as well.

It's not difficult to see why we haemorrhage money

I think most if not all the championship loses money. I'm sure Blackpool were the only team to be in profit last year

Excuse me Tomski , were you absent on Saturday ?
