Yeah I don't agree with your 'equal and opposite reaction' take on the world. If that were true - nothing would ever really change, and it just means that there will be an equal and opposite reaction to any new regime or world order that DT ushers in. 

Personally I think you could end up giving away more than you realise in the pursuit of some less liberal social policies. That might just include stability, peace, democracy and any chance of mitigating climate change. Which seems a heavy price to pay for changing the direction on issues like abortion, gun control and allowing same sex toilets (for example).

As always, a reasoned and intelligent post. We don't agree even though I know what you are alluding to. We can't ever let that particular genie out of the bottle again but a more strident conservatism is required to redress the balance and make life simpler again.

Layers and layers of complication foisted upon the majority by vocal minorities, activists and mere cunts has to be rejected and a reset button pressed. Time for democracy to do what it is supposed to do and be truly representative of the majority.

Think my problem is others not realising how good they've got it. Always moaning and things not good enough. 

Us Brits have it easy than most. We're a welcoming bunch but nothing is good enough for those in need or not enough can be done for those wanting more.
