I think he's in for a tough couple of years now. And I think it's likely that Iran will go full steam ahead to try to build a nuclear weapon (unless the US and Israel really have destroyed this capability), something I don't trust them to do. 

Meanwhile - I'm also not sure where this all leaves the people of Iran and this popular uprising. The future will tell I suppose. But it seems to me like although their military might be badly damaged, Iran are in a stronger strategic position than when the war started. To the extent that they could plausibly claim victory if they see off the US without any regime change.

He won't lose out, that's for sure, but those two have to be aligned at some point.

Maybe they were initially, but, as I said above, his methods haven't helped his people in the main, so divergence is happening now.

He definitely isn't the brightest, but I do believe there is cognitive decline too.

Whether king Charles can kick his arse so to speak, either directly or by influence on others, I don't know. Worth a try though.

Trump will enjoy the spectacle no doubt, but he will also make it all about him. I've no doubt he'll insult Charles in some way (whether he means to or not)  - the entire state visit will be the ultimate in cringe

Thing is his definition of good for America , even if that bothers him it is the America he knows, so a world of billionaires. If the stock market is up and his mates get advance note of his declarations and top up their billions that is good. They do not give a fuck about the price of petrol, mortgage costs and the every day things that impact most people.

Probably not with Trump, but maybe with others behind the scenes.

Trump does seem to like the royals- I think in a way it's what he sees himself as- so there maybe an "in" for the king.
