MalcolmW Posted May 15, 2016 Posted May 15, 2016 I don't know half them players in that squad. Do they even play 1st team football? Apart from Gunn, whose father was GK for Norwich for years, yes. Ward-Prowse and Redmond have over 100 appearances. Chambers played 22 for Southampton and has 35 appearances for Arsenal. Galloway has 17 for Everton, Loftus-Cheek 14 for Chelsea, Targett 20 for Southampton. Pickford played for Sunderland in the FA Cup v Arsenal. The rest have variously appeared for Blackburn, Brentford, Exeter, Huddersfield, Middlesbrough, MK Dons, Nott'm Forest, Reading, Rotherham, Sheffield Wednesday, Shrewsbury, Swansea, Swindon, Watford, Wolves and Wycombe, as well as Napoli and Vitesse Arnhem. frank_spencer Posted May 16, 2016 Posted May 16, 2016 Kean was part of the disastrous time at rovers where chickens were being released on the pitch in protest. Quote
gonzo Posted May 17, 2016 Posted May 17, 2016 All very worrying. Why on earth would Stubbs leave that job for a 12 month contract on peanuts with no money to sign any players with a depleted squad of kids and wankers to work with? A lot of people saying its reids job but what are they waiting for if it is? Quote

Eavesy Posted May 17, 2016 Posted May 17, 2016 Why the hell does every single manager need money (war chest) to succeed? What we need is a manager who will come in and say right I'll work with what we have got and anything above that is a bonus. This idea that every manager 'needs to get there own type of players' is a shite excuse rolled out constantly. Quote

kent_white Posted May 17, 2016 Posted May 17, 2016 Depends what you've got doesn't it? We've not got much to work with. I reckon there's plenty of managers in League 1 who'd gladly swap squads with us (but maybe not wage bills). Quote
ohjimmyjimmy Posted May 17, 2016 Posted May 17, 2016 Reid obviously wants it and has thrown his hat in the ring. He could be appointed right now if we really wanted him, so either the two fellas at the top can't agree on him being the manager, or we're waiting for something or someone. I can't see it being Stubbs. Quote
Blondi Posted May 17, 2016 Posted May 17, 2016 I can see Reid being our next manager, maybe bring in someone like Julian Darby as an assistant. I reckon Holdsworth & Anderson will be doing the player recruiting too. Quote
mannyroad58 Posted May 17, 2016 Posted May 17, 2016 Reidy will do for me, proper old school who will have the prima-donna fuckers running up and down rivy everyday until they're fit and won't take any shit Oh and he had a belting game on Saturday Quote
