Thanks for banging on about it. We're all eternally grateful for your insight

  • I like how they have voted Chris Powell as their first choice.   Not many clubs can say they have had two black managers in a row.

Over the last 24 hours we've heard the chairman is off sick with stress, closely followed by news that the loan company that the owners used to buy the club all of a sudden want their money back.

Think folk are right to show concern.

And this is bi polar-ways after all.

Definitely no panic but stats suggest next season will be tough for a team finishing so far adrift. Hence the sooner we start fixing it, the better, surely

It's not sheer panic but fans Saying we've got 2 months end of July does that give a manager the best opportunity and time to get organized I don't think it does, besides we've already had 2 months to get ourselves sorted out how long does it take to make a decision?

I'd rather the club made absolutely sure they're getting the right man, than a knee jerk appointment to appease fans.

Of course it would help if he had all summer to prepare, but I'd have thought was so blindingly obvious that it didn't need saying.

As ever, I'm assuming that everyone involved at the club wants to succeed, and isn't a cartel of Wigan, bury and tranmere fans trying to shut us down.

There's enough of our own half wishing that would happen so they can say 'told you so'

Some right drama queens on here.

It's hardly knee jerk, we've had two months since Lennon got potted,

Plus

The new owners said they have a clear vision as to how they want us to play and what kind of manager they want, so in the lead up to the take over they must of had some indication who would be a suitable candidate for the position would be while the takeover process was ongoing.

I want us to box clever with it, I don't just want anyone, if the club appoint Reid or anyone else and say it for reason x, y or z that's fine

There's enough of our own half wishing that would happen so they can say 'told you so'

Don't be silly

We don't have people like Snowball on here...

Phillips doesn't want it

Good, because he's already proven he can't anything from this squad. And he was doing a better job elsewhere, so back he goes for me.

Unless the embargo is lifted, we won't need a manager, but more of a coach.

We'll struggle, however, to get anyone decent when the only offer being put out is a 12 month non-rolling deal on a fraction of what past managers have been paid. The T&C's were what made Phil Brown "reluctantly" rule himself. Aside from the compo, of course! :D

Well I don't :)

If you and that Gunk really think I want the club to fail then you know absolutely fuck all. I would love it for a decent manager to be appointed and things to start clicking in place and show we really do have a plan so you can fuck right off.

But being as you are an arch happy clapper always wanting to believe the club's spin and that there is actually a  coherent plan then that's fine you keep your head in the sand pal. We've just had one of the worst seasons in our history, totally skint, been run into the ground and been taken over by folk looking dodgier by the day, are under a transfer embargo with no signs of it being lifted and being turned down by every tom dick and harry.Crippled by ridiculous contracts handed out by the last lot of muppets. Added to that its entirely possible ED is still looking to take sizeable chunks of money out. I reckon its folk like you who seem happy to take this shit who are the problem. Saying anyone who who doesn't like how things are shaping off wants us to fail or supports Blackpool, Wigan, United etc etc - Bollocks

And bollocks to ED as well

Make them stop, Gonzo.

Summer piss up banning orders imminent.

Heard from who?

Heard from who?

Various sources.

Some connected to the club and some not.

I meant in the context of this place anyway. If rumours, true or not are bounded about like that, they are going to be discussed on here.

It's the whole point of the place isn't it?

Careful gonzo you are very close to being told to go and support your local team

Well said, the way KA and ED are huddled together on match days doesn't suggest things have changed from the incompetent way the club has been run from the past 5 years.

All doubters want to be proven wrong, fans want a vision, a clear plan or strategy in place. The small amount of information we can go off at this stage makes me worry for the club long term. It can be dismissed as twitter talk etc but there is not much else to go off. Take the young players we want to keep, what are they thinking now, what plans have they got for the summer? Preperation should have started the minute the game finished against Fulham.

Above all I want to be wrong, my brain can't take another season like this.

It is possible to be neither a 'doubter' nor a 'happy clapper'. Maybe it's best to just wait for things to actually happen instead of engaging in 24-hour speculation?

Absolutely just don't judge anyone because people actually cate.

That's fine but just avoid this thread instead of going on about it. You know that the thread is for right?

Perhaps Deano and Anderson have a cunning plan? I am not convinced and suspect as always it is down to finance. Basically we dont have the funds to attract a decent manager with proven pedigree so are hoping the managerial merryground throws up a new option who is prepared to come on board for coppers.

I agree the job is still regarding as "big" but the likes of Wilder Stubbs et all are not going to risk their reputation in the same way as Freedman & Lennon unless the contract is far more attractive than what is on offer.

Ultamately will we get whoever we can afford.

Wilder off to Sheffield United.
