The Wanderer Posted May 18, 2016 Posted May 18, 2016 Knows the division, never had a penny to spend. Supposed to be a cunt when needed. Out of the names being mentioned I'd be happy with hill. Quote

radcliffe white Posted May 19, 2016 Posted May 19, 2016 Getting to the stage now where I'm not arsed who gets the job tbh, I think whoever it may be will be fighting a uphill battle I'm not usually a doom and gloom merchant but this club has got some major problems ahead Quote

Tonge moor green jacket Posted May 19, 2016 Posted May 19, 2016 MacDonald did well working with Sam. Quote
DomRepWanderer Posted May 19, 2016 Posted May 19, 2016 MacDonald did well working with Sam. With all due repect, whats your point? Quote
Farrelli Posted May 19, 2016 Posted May 19, 2016 The key word in that appraisal of Mcdonald is Sam. I think we need an experienced manager at this level. Brown, Cotterill or Hill all fit the criteria. Quote
Tonge moor green jacket Posted May 19, 2016 Posted May 19, 2016 Sam rated him. whether he's going to be a good manager maybe a bit soon to tell. I reckon most managers would admit to getting better with experience. Agree that Brown et al have more, but equally in our position, it's going to be a bit of a gamble whoever is appointed. Subbed, with NM as number two is more favourable for me, but that's not going to happen. Quote
ianovit Posted May 19, 2016 Posted May 19, 2016 I do hope the "ever reliable" Daily Star has got it wrong - surely not.........so not too distressed yet but I hate Redrearn with a passion as I cannot forgive the twat for dancing almost the length of the pitch in front of the Burnden Paddock blowing kisses to the crowd whilst celebrating the Doncaster goal that consigned Wanderers to the play off and ultimate relegation to Div 4 in 1987. We had given him his league debut FFS Quote
jayjayoghani Posted May 20, 2016 Posted May 20, 2016 I do hope the "ever reliable" Daily Star has got it wrong - surely not.........so not too distressed yet but I hate Redrearn with a passion as I cannot forgive the twat for dancing almost the length of the pitch in front of the Burnden Paddock blowing kisses to the crowd whilst celebrating the Doncaster goal that consigned Wanderers to the play off and ultimate relegation to Div 4 in 1987. We had given him his league debut FFS I remember that vividly too. At 13 my first use of the words, fucking twat. Quote
Ratwhite Posted May 20, 2016 Posted May 20, 2016 Well: http://www.dailystar.co.uk/sport/football/516746/Neil-Redfearn-Blackburn-Bolton-Leeds That's another battle we'll loose... Quote
paulhanley Posted May 20, 2016 Posted May 20, 2016 BN reckons the four names in the frame are Peter Reid, Nigel Adkins, Neil Redfearn and Steve Thompson. The latter name obviously is a new one. Not sure we should be giving someone their first job in management but Tommo has been around in management teams for a long time now and played for us for a decade. It was a bit sad to see him on the pitch pre-match earlier this season in his current role as a PNE coach but not really acknowledged by Bolton fans. Quote
clown Posted May 20, 2016 Posted May 20, 2016 Nigel Adkins Peter Reid T-O T-O-M T-O-M-O TOMO Neil Redfearn Quote
Biggish Dave Posted May 20, 2016 Posted May 20, 2016 Adkins or Reid I'm ok with, not impressed with the other 2 Quote
