He has some balls to be that defiant

No, not balls - he is delusional. He still strongly believes in the possibility of a socialist utopia even though it has failed everywhere it has been tried. Human aspiration will always fuck up all attempts at 'absolute equality' (whatever that means).

Thankfully, the world and his wife have moved on from these fanciful ideals. He and his ilk just need to catch up which I doubt they ever will.

I am massively hopeful that he digs his heels in even further and the clueless 3 quid youngsters who have no life experience and no fucking idea, re elect him. The only word I can think of to describe the turmoil that would ensue between the PLP and the apparatchiks would be 'delicious'. Unelectable for as long as possible please. Better dead than red.

I can see a situation where all those who've resigned set up their own 'new labour' party.

They could call it New Labour.

Things can only get better.

Seen the dirt flying already with regards to Crabb..

Used to be an intern for a charity that stated there would be a homosexuality cure..

Seen facebook pics painting him as the devil

Don't think Crabb has any chance.

Conservatives are, well, conservative by nature. Other than the fact she was a 'Remainer' I think May would walk it. Has all the right credentials including good relationships with most countries and a stateswomanlike demeanour.

I suspect Liam Fox may be the one.

Who shall I vote for?

Gove : :lol::

No chance surely.......however, surely that will split Boris Johnson's vote

He really has knifed Boris. Could well be a deliberate act to stop him and not really interested.

Thatchesa May for me.

Gove just isn't PM material.

Who is, though?

Maggie!!

I can see a Boris Gove, Donald and Brexit triumvirate on the morning of November 9th.

What odds on that 9 months ago?

IF Angela Eagle topples Corbyn she would make mincemeat of Boris at PMQs.

Theresa May has a real chance to take this.

I'd agree Crabb is simply leaving a marker for next time around.

Remember that outsiders do have a good track record in Tory leadership elections.

Thatcher was the absolute outsider to replace Heath.

Heseltine was her obvious successor, but got blocked leaving Major (who was at the dentists when loyalties were being tested) to take the day.

And when IDS was brought down as unelectable Cameron came from nowhere to win from a very poor field.

I think Dr Fox may have too many indiscretions in his past.

Boris declares out

Very clever IMO, think he knew he would get stitched up, better to get behind May who is now a shoe in for me and maybe get a big position in her cabinet

Boris will be thinking next time round

As far as Eagle for labour, she is highly respected within the party but I think she is too softly spoken and doesn't look right to win a general election

Boris not standing!

Cannot be May can it? How can she go and negotiate a Brexit while she voted to stay in Europe.

Never seen as much back stabbing than these last couple of days in politics.

Cannot be May can it? How can she go and negotiate a Brexit while she voted to stay in Europe.

80% of MP's thought we would be better off with a remain vote

If you only gave the big jobs to leavers then it isnt representative

May was as good as on the fence though so it's fair enough

They will have someone heading up BREXIT who will come from the OUT side

I doubt it will be Boris, he knows it's a thankless task and will get as far away from it as possible ready for the next leadership battle

Cannot be May can it? How can she go and negotiate a Brexit while she voted to stay in Europe.

Because it's their job to do what we bloody well tell them to do. About time they needed reminding

Et tu, Michael?

May will get the gig, Leadson has a reasonable chance too, can't see it being Gove.

Boris had to declare himself out of the running after his ridiculous column in the paper on Monday where he said that we needed to remain trading with the "single block" and he believed that freedom of movement should still happen

He shit himself when he "won" as he knew he'd really lost, and simply doesn't have the ability to negotiate a break from the EU anything like the one he ran his campaign on.

The blokes a dick

Listened to TM earlier. She briefly touched upon free movement but said little. Just hope that whoever gets the job, they don't go for a watered down approach.

Interesting though that another appointment has been made to this group that is going to oversea negotiations on brexit. Perhaps the next pm is going to be slightly distant from this group to appeal to a broader range of people.
