gonzo
How so? As soon as the sun newspaper nail their colours to the mast the general population normally follows. Sad. But very true.

But the nation isn't voting for the next PM And I don't think the Conservative members will be swayed by the Sun. Telegraph possibly. BOWTUN BAKED
iirc, Leadsom had already pushed the being a Mother line in one of those EU debates. So I'd guess it wasn't a dig at May but a point she made about having a vested interest in the future when the point of ruining next generations opportunities if we left the EU. It amused me at the time, as I did think she was having a dig at Ruth Davies, who was the one pushing the point. For those who don't know who Ruth Davies is, she's the Scottish Conservative shouty woman. You know, the one with the bowl heed, likes to wear comfortable shoes & holidaying in the Greek Islands! If you catch my drift

kent_white
Fuck me - if people had problems with Corbyn's ability to inspire and unite they need to be looking somewhere else other than Angela Eagle. She's a right wet blanket.

She's a right wet blanket. She's pretty good at the despatch box. Used to give good hidings to the Leader of the House every Thursday. Combines Yorkshire birth with Merseyside upbringing and wears Doc Martins.
Youri McAnespie
I'd rather see two women go at it, next election, it'd be preferable to folk having a choice of a self-aware gimp and another gimp who's good at acting statesmanlike (Miliband and Cameron)...I'd prefer it to be Gloria De Piero and that uppity scouse scrubber lady (who needs bringing down a peg of two - and I'm the man to do it) Esther McVey though. She's a right wet blanket. Completely uninspiring If that's the best labour have then it's a conservative government for a while yet to come It looks to me like it will be a labour leadership battle won by Corbyn as he has the backing of the lunatics paying £3 and thinking its democracy The Labour MP's should pick the next leader, this new system is clearly open to abuse. I don't mind members getting a vote but surely it should be ones who have grafted for years for the party rather than some fanatical up starts driven by left wing propaganda on Saturday coal media? The more I look at it the more I think the bear 200 labour rebels MP's should form a new moderate / centrist party with the lib dems That would put Corbyn, his gang of extremists and his merry mandate back into 4th most represented party behind the SNP where he can finally be drowned out
leigh white
Sad times for Labour, this will be the most Right Wing government in the UK for a long time.

bgoefc
Sad times for Labour, this will be the most Right Wing government in the UK for a long time. Labour have become more idealistic and have grown into something very far away from their core white working class support, many of whom now see Ukip as the only party who listens to them. They live in the London bubble and student union debating societies and despise the working class but need them come voting time.
