  • Benedict Cumberbatch played Alan Turing in The Imitation Game, he's not even a proper bummer.

  • Not quite a show… but the missus has fallen asleep mid program; I do it all the time, just watch on… she doesn’t agree. She’s now fallen asleep 3 times during last 10 mins of episode of Outlaws.

Controversy in Portrait Artist of the Year last night.  For the 2nd year running, the judges (& what a pretentious bunch they are) overlooked the obviously talented Portrait artists and opted for the quirky, different but not as good option.

Last years winner painted Lenny Henry for the national gallery. He favvered Leon off Curb your enthusiasm.

MasterChef professionals final on now. Really enjoyed this series.

Just watched the last episode of Day of the Jackal. Cracking series which I might binge watch again this weekend.

Aye, it was a very good series.....

Sort of glad there's another series, but partly think it should've been a standalone, therefore meaning the Jackal fails/dies...

Meh.

The bloke off Day of the Jackal is proper ginger. He's got that freckly skin and everything.

@gonzo what would happen, if James Bond was a ginger? And also the metal toothed villain Jaws?

Exceptional. Was pleased for the lad who won it after what he has been through.

There is nothing that James Bond 'would never be' now. I'm expecting a non binary Afro Caribbean amputee with a mullet.

That's more palatable than him being a ginger.

Within the same post there we have the words binary and ginger. Cold sweats down Wigan way in case it might involve some sort of election fuck up again.

Just seen some reviews. One to watch over the festive period. Is it best to have seen the previous instalments?

My favourite two shows this year are The Bear and Disclaimer.

Not TV, but also just listened to Gareth Southgate's desert island discs. great listen, even for those who felt alienated by him. Football aside, I could never understand why some people hated him so much. Seems a genuinely nice guy.

Yeah watch Wolf Hall first. The books as well are fantastic.

Gavin & Stacey was worth the wait, up there with the most laughs from any of the previous episodes.

So weird to have had it as an (on/off) constant for most of my adult life and all of a sudden it’s finished.

I've never watched it

Never got round to it

Same. Nowt against it just never been tempted

Diplomat - Netflix is decent

Nearly done the Jackal and his wing man in the army lives up near us. See him reffing a lot of kids football and stuff.

Strike - The Ink Black Heart filled a couple of dull pre Xmas nights, maybe nothing sensational but quite a steady crime drama, all previous on iPlayer
