Lost 8 league games, never top till the last weekend as far as I can remember (I could be wrong), losing a cup final to St Mirren, thrashed by Stuttgart in the champions league knockout, 3 different managers leaving by the start of Jan, loads of fan unrest. I'd be surprised if they would settle for that next season even if they did ultimately win the league (what a turn up), put it this way O'Neill won't still be manager at Christmas if it goes the same way.
July 10Jul 10 Still won the league, and their European adventure went in a similar vein to their others. We lost a good few games last season, but still managed promotion. I don't think any of us would regard it as anything but a good season, even if we didn't go up directly.

He's played L1 and Championship and is unlikely to go to Salford apparently.

July 11Jul 11 It will be interesting to see if Randall, Taylor and McAtee go on the trip to Slovakia or if they stay here to try and get fixed up elsewhere. If they go maybe Schuey is giving them a last chance to prove their worth because they’re all on big, expensive contracts. Similar with Harrington and Temple who both came highly rated but have had no game time. We should get a better indication come Monday.
July 11Jul 11 They'll surely go because they're still under contract, we'd struggle for numbers otherwise, and because they need to train whether they're staying here or going elsewhereI wouldn't read too much into them coming with us

You might be right though about making up the numbers but personally I’d hope they’re getting a signal chance?

July 11Jul 11 Interesting comment from SS on ACD.He has spoken to him and will be doing preseason at Brighton and might be involved in first team squad. But when the WC players return that might change. 8 of their current squad have been at WC.It is not untill WC players return that teams will be announcing who they are keeping or who they are willing to release or loan out. Clubs need players in the very short term to fulfill pre season. 4 weeks today Sheff Weds away!

As will the lad himself.Loan or Sell ?Home or Abroad ?If sell, what fee ?But I'd love him back.
July 11Jul 11 Hope we aren’t relying on ACD coming back to save the day, because we had him for 80% of last year and finished a distant 5th. We need a lot more than that, one thing i think we need this year is a post man, haven't had one in years, if we're struggling in the Championship, we need someone to make every delivery count.

July 11Jul 11 There are more options than former loanees, you know. Most of our fans seem to have forgotten this when suggesting transfers."Sign Kenny""Sign ACD""Sign CBT""(Don't) sign Burstow""Sign Fossey"Yawn. Expand your horizons. Edited July 11Jul 11 by jmjhb

No one is suggesting just ‘getting the band back together’ is all we should do. Edited July 11Jul 11 by Ani

July 11Jul 11 I wouldn't lose sleep if they didn't sign. Louie Barry had 3 loans at Stockport and has now signed permanently...for Sheffield Wednesday.

July 11Jul 11 Wonder if Brighton have anymore promising youngsters they're looking to loan to this level. ACD spell here must have left a favourable impression. Edited July 11Jul 11 by deeane Koontz

However I noticed they signed a Portuguese winger this summer who has already played a few games for Benfica...no idea if any good, like Edited July 11Jul 11 by jmjhb
