Why is he hooked up on a mic with 80s songs playing while he’s training??

Anyway looks like a confident and amiable young man. If he can turn that into scoring goals and being a big part of our squad then bring it on!

FFS. This isn't Behind The Stands. Most folk come on here to read bullshit rumours and conjecture, with the odd bit of accurate stuff thrown in. It's boring as fuck reading your personal squabbles.

  • Sure it's that Mandela effect in full flow here that we all seem to be OK with this. It's a fucking travesty and complete shitshow. He's our most prolific striker by a country mile, has been

We've just won promotion using a gaggle of players nobody else wanted, littered with injury plagued loanees and players that were cast as cart horses, one trick ponies and generally weak as piss.

I'm guessing it's a part of their club's social media, a bit like our Inside Matchday thing but with a player mic'd up

I don't know anything about his ability other than what I've seen on his highlights reel, but he seems the sort who'd be good in the dressing rooom and Rioch did always say it's important to have a few scousers in there

ADHD'd out of his fucking mind. You need lads like him in a dressing room.

It was nothing to do with his game time.

A criticism of Parky's character.

Hard to judge Max Dean from afar, we just have to trust the "process".

Similar to the signings from Scotland and Ireland (past and present), we just don't know till we've seen them in a few league games. The difference this time is the league games are in the championship, we can't just take a punt on a bit of potential.

His goals for MK Dons have to be taken in the context of being in L2, there are plenty of players that have scored more in L1 that we wouldn't be keen to sign for the championship. So its another wait and see one.

I think we should also weigh in the fact he's scored at one goal every three games in the Belgian top flight. Obviously not the best top division in Europe but it will certainly be far from the worst.

Anyway... we need to sign the lad first before we have this debate in full. And if we do sign him we'll probably see him and be able to judge for ourselves soon enough.

So do we think Max Dean is instead of Kenny? Or more likely that we want Dean and Kenny?

I think it's instead of, Kenny wants to fight for his place, I have a feeling that'll last until the end of the window seeing as they're about to sign their 3rd striker of the summer.

But we can't sit here twiddling our thumbs for him to realise he's wasting his career there, so Dean will be this year's Kenny role if he comes and we're still after a Burstow-esque forward as well.

Think if we sign Dean don’t see us signing Kenny as well and tbh think Kenny wants to stay at Celtic.

Bristol City have just spent 10m on two forwards who do not have a CV as Good as Max Dean has.......He was 18 when he got a goal in just over 2 games for MK Dons. Had two decent seasons in Belgium........We are not getting better

I have no issue with a player wanting to fight for his role in what he, given his background, probably sees as the epitome of clubs

The fact that the club persists in buying player after player above him makes that a bit daft. Add that the fans, almost to a man, think he's shite doesn't help.

But, ffs, tell us he's not available so that door closes. We'll sign him, maybe on loan, in January when he's spent 5 months on the bench & barely got off it.

If Kenny doesn't want to come then fuck him. He can sit on the bench for Celtic with a bunch of twitter mongos that think he's shite.

Get this scouse lunatic in and we can all crack on. Him and McAtee should get on like house on fire.

We're obviously keen to get someone in with 2 first names, I think its one or the other. 2 strikers with no actual surnames would be too much.

Finally replacing Dion Charles hopefully.

Interviewer: Do you want to stay at Celtic or are you leaving?

How's Kenny meant to respond? Is anyone expecting him to say I'm off?

It'd be the same if McAtee was asked what he wants to do, he's hardly going to say I'd like to move to Barnsley on less money please.

What players (and managers) say about potentially staying or moving is irrelevant 90% of the time, surely we realise that by now.

Kenny knows as much as we do he won't kick a ball for them after 31st August.

John Thomas was our best striker with two first names

I don't want to get into the realms of comparing 29 goals in L1 V 29 goals in a combo of L2 and Belgium, but I agree the fee paid for Ballard is bizarrely high (and wierd they've both scored the same number of league goals in their careers).

Regarding not getting better, maybe Kenny is better? We don't know till we see whoever signs, over a period of time. When its players we'd never heard of till last week.

Disagree. SS has said he wants two more strikers. One who’s strong and good in the air and one with pace. Dean is former target and Kenny the latter.

Gut feeling Kenny is not better.....Look at the goals he scored for MK Dons very Vardie like.

We may have got ourselves a good one

Well I personally think we’d struggle to get a better fit for our money than Dean and if through dithering we lose him to another Championship club then serious questions will need to be asked about recruitment. We don’t know the Kenny situation but other potential targets are still about like Pepple, Wareham Sidibeh, Joe Taylor and many we won’t know about so hopefully something will be done before Saturday?

what I don't get is he had one good season in L2 and Gent paid £1.7m for him

his record isn't bad in Belgium top flight and he's played and scored in Europe

so can't see them settling for less than that

yet we bid £1m, which was turned down

Its gotta be 80s music whilst training/working out .

Soundtracks to the Rocky/First Blood/ Karate Kid movies . Plenty of hair metal , Meat Loaf , Opus , Y&T . Brings blood to your shoulders .
