July 7, 20233 yr Who knows lusty but both wages and transfer fees seem to get more realistic the closer to the windows end so let’s hope if nothing else turns up in the meantime that happens with Wilson and Baccus because I suspect neither club will want to lose either player for nothing if their contracts run down? 😉

July 7, 20233 yr Think he would have been very suited to our style of play but until this year I thought he was about 24. At 30 years old it would put me off

Accorcing to yheir own website St. Mirren's best paid player last season was on £2,500 pw basic. Baccus was on £800pw - £41,600 pa. Not difficult to better that tbh.

July 7, 20233 yr If all Bacchus was interested in was the money well good riddance we have had enough of those types of players over the years Keith Andrews being 1 .

Nowt like overreacting is there. Money, clearly, isn't the be-all & end-all to him.or he wouldn't currently be on £41,600. But he's entitled to seek a decent wedge for any move he makes Shirley ?

July 7, 20233 yr Is May actually that good or just a decent player in a shit team? Personally, I'd rather get 1 or 2 championship quality players we'd not need to replace when we go up but cost a bit more. Not talking stupid money, just a touch of extra quality than you get from people who have bobbled about the lower leagues all their career. JDB and Lee types but with a few less miles on the clock

JDB and Lee types but with a few less miles on the clock May is a decent player at L1 level, scores good goals, regularly - not sure its relevant how good the rest of the team are? Agreed though some JDB, Lee, Gary O'Neill, Bridcutt, Daryl Murphy types with a bit of class and know how wouldn't go amiss. Easier said than done though, why would they want to drop into L1 and probably take a wage cut?

July 8, 20233 yr A fit JDB and Dion Charles playing off his should be more than good enough to have us pushing.

"A fit" JDB - there lies the risk Kieron Lee will be missed like hell. Different class at this level. Can see a couple of Prem youth types arriving and hopefully more Bradley-like than Shoretire. This Baccus dunce had never been heard of before two weeks ago. Even after a world cup. World beater in a poor league. Sure there's better out there. Alfie May sounds like he has streaks in his hair and wears diadora in San Antonio on 18-30's holidays. Best place for him is Charlton.

Alfie May sounds like he'd be an East end fruit and veg market stall owner Lots of patter and banter with the cockney house wives, cheeky so and so
