FFS. This isn't Behind The Stands. Most folk come on here to read bullshit rumours and conjecture, with the odd bit of accurate stuff thrown in. It's boring as fuck reading your personal squabbles.

  • Sure it's that Mandela effect in full flow here that we all seem to be OK with this. It's a fucking travesty and complete shitshow. He's our most prolific striker by a country mile, has been

We've just won promotion using a gaggle of players nobody else wanted, littered with injury plagued loanees and players that were cast as cart horses, one trick ponies and generally weak as piss.

Radlusty.   Sounds like a Croation striker,  definatley has a ring to it.

I don't want to immediately take the piss here, but what are you basing your thoughts on?

Recent purchase and Evatt must see something there that hasn't yet come across on the pitch, or he's doing exactly what IE has told him too.

Loan --> purchase seems to state Evatt didn't just buy him on a whim

He seems a similar type to Collins

If he signs, I wonder whether with those two, Lolos, and the currently injured CMG on the books the intention is to play two behind Charles

Not long ago you were claiming that signing McAtee would make you less concerned about our chances next season, now you are concerned because we might be signing him as he isn't good enough

What a load of bullshit. Read it again and show me where I've ever said anything other than I don't know if he's good enough or not.

And stop making up stuff - we have enough amateur mind readers on here already.

Seems to me that the way it's going, there will be a lot more "strong teams" in the league this year than last so I am certain we'll have to be a fair bit better than we were if we're going to push for promotion again so we're going to need a few quality signings. The money is allegedly there and Evatt etc are "working hard behind the scenes" to secure what we need so it would be great to secure our top targets. Thing is they are our top targets because they were identified as being the best options so "moving on" sounds a bit like settling for something less.

If we got McAtee, Armstrong and Dembele I'd feel confident we'd be very competitive and in with a good chance but it's become clear that none of them are done deals yet so I'm starting to sweat a bit and it's a real test of my faith.

Meanwhile, other teams are settling players into their squads and there have been some astute purchases e.g. Ashworth to Blackpool for a reported 240k and the two Prem kids Wrexham have signed. I'm just hoping we are not faffing about too much in the negotiations and end up missing the boat.

You said it right here

I said if we got all 3 players I'd feel more confident if you'd care to read it properly.

I did read it carefully, however you are panicking that signing one of them is a problem because he isn't good enough. We may still sign the others or we might not, but it is a start.

Know nowt about him so had a look on the Barnsley forum before a certain someone off here goes on there blowing smoke up their arses.

I'm banned for discussing a certain player in anything but godlike terms :)

Barnsley lad I know says he’ll be a very good signing. 17 G/A’s last season in a team that wasn’t particularly adventurous.

knows the level, does well at it, good age can probably player at a higher level, not getting much better for the rumoured £1m these days

much rather have too many options than going through issues again like we had last year and relying on JDB and Jerome.

From the outside I suppose you could assess Collins stats for us last season and not be overly impressed.

I'd be mortified if he left and is probably the first name on the teamsheet currently.

Stats aren't everything.

Well I hope we do sign the others - and TBF if McAtee signs it will be something of a relief that we are starting to make transfer progress because ultimately, despite being underwhelmed with McAtee, I have faith that the club will have done their due diligence. I'm not panicking yet BTW - just saying that a bit of quality in wider positions wouldn't go amiss and the clock is ticking, leaving little time for players to settle in and little time to get what we need if the primary targets fall through.

FWIW I thought Lolos was looking like a good solid signing last night - apart from the open goal bit :)

Banned 🤣

If you stopped being so hysterical and claiming that signing someone has a slight whiff of a stitch up, when a few weeks prior you were happy if he signed and never aired your concerns, then maybe people wouldn't pull you up on it.

The joys of pre season and the transfer market

Ok I’m really confused. The McAtee signing will either be a relief, or whiff of a stitch up!

Either way you’ll be underwhelmed, but still trust that the club have done their due diligence.

OK - we can perhaps park this discussion until after McAtee signs and he's played a few games for us. If he turns out to be the mutz nutz we need I will apologise profusely for ever suggesting he might not be.

FWIW I'm also banned from Lincoln for writing "good goal" on a live Imps match thread when we played them at their place 3 years ago.

Their paranoid administrator "Jules" is a cock.

Can't be arsed to unpack that clusterfuck for you so let's just say I totally agree that you're confused by the English language when more than one premise is involved.

It certainly is a clusterfuck I’ll give you that.

The irony of being given an English lesson language by someone who states ‘can’t be arsed to unpack that clusterfuck’ is not lost on me.

Top work!

Stop it - you're embarrassing me, you silver tongued sweet talker.

Although I'm not quite sure what "an English lesson language" is TBH.

Now that IS irony.

See how easy that was 😊😘

Made me laugh to be fair. Apologies.

Does anyone think that Dan could get us 20 goals this season?

he's not that type of player.. bit like Vic, Collins and Charles to knock them in, that is, if Charles is still with us/match fit
