Don’t know much about the lad tbh but his stats don’t stack up if I was a championship club so yes you could be right

I'm with you on this - slightly bemused as to why we would need him and TBH it even has the faint whiff of a stitch up. I've seen plenty of his little brother James who is a top player - very similar in style to Armstrong - but I'm really struggling to see what some managers see in John.  I presume that the club has done the usual due diligence and I've no doubt that Rob Edwards has given IE the lowdown but ATM I'm struggling to get past the low goal return even at a lower level - the highest he's played is one season in League One and he's 25 now.

If we do sign him I really hope he proves the doubters like me very wrong.

McAtee doesn't appear to be the most prolific of strikers. However I think it's the type of striker he is that warrants attention. My memory of him is that he's tall/capable of being more of a target man. If we do actually sign him I'd say he's the JDB replacement. 

Anyway, lets wait for the daft grin and the holding up of the scarf.

Who's that then? TBF Nlundulu actually played 12 games in the Premiership as well as England U16s so I guess the fact that McAtee's peak has been one season in League 1 is not necessarily an indicator. We'll see.

I was underwhelmed by the Mcginlay, Mixu and Coyle signings if that helps. At Bury I believe Mcginlay’s nickname was the pigeon chested hero.
